I purchased brand new skis and bindings for my daughter through an online retailer out of Vermont and had them shipped to my house, then brought them over to Alpin Haus in Clifton Park to have the bindings mounted. A day after dropping them off, Dylan from Alpin Haus called me to inform me that one of the skis was defective- he had drilled into it for the binding mount and he hit a void; where there should have been a solid wood core there was nothing, just empty space. Crazy! At that point, Joe (Alpin Haus Amsterdam) and Rick (Alpin Haus Clifton Park) got involved. Despite the fact that I had purchased these skis through a competitor, Joe offered to process a warranty claim for me through Alpin Haus's local rep for this particular brand and see if they could get me a replace ski. And in the meantime, since my daughter would be without skis, Rick from the Clifton Park store gave her a rental pair FREE OF CHARGE until the issue with her new skis was settled. How’s that for customer service?? AMAZING. But it gets better… Their local rep could not provide a replacement ski as that particular model was sold out everywhere. I was at the point where I was going to just pick up the skis and bindings and send them back to Vermont for a refund, when Joe called me and offered to handle the return for me with his rep, and give me a pair of comparable skis (two options, different brands) out of Alpin Haus’s inventory for no extra cost. I was blown away- talk about going the extra mile for your customer! I went back into the Clifton Park store and within a few minutes working with Rick I had picked the replacement pair. I’ll never go anywhere else for ski gear after this- Alpin Haus has earned my business for life!

Alpin Haus in Amsterdam was where my husband and I purchased our first sets of skis and boots nearly two decades ago. Tonight we returned, initially looking to upgrade our boots but ultimately we ended up with new skis as well. Rich and Olivia worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we needed - upgrades in comfort and technology, at a price point we felt comfortable spending. We were helped quickly, given multiple options without any pressure to purchase, and enjoyed chatting about our favorite places to ski. We browsed the store (great clearance buys if you’re looking for new outerwear!) while our bindings were mounted, and left tonight with gear we are confident we’ll enjoy for the next couple decades. Alpin Haus remains the first place we go when we have any ski-related needs & desires.

Joe was a fantastic salesman! I came to purchase ski boots and he made a couple of very prudent, low-pressure suggestions to complement my gear purchase, resulting in a much better total package. He got me into a new ski for about the same cost as upgrading my old ones. Prices are excellent and you can't beat the personal service. We've been coming to Alpin Haus for 8 seasons, very satisfied customers!

Joe was very helpful to me as a beginner. He got my skis adjusted quickly, guided me with proper fit of a helmet and goggles, and also suggested head socks and a gator. Joe even helped me carry everything to the car. As a beginner I know I will seek out Noe at Alpin Haus again and again as my skill level gets better and I will be needing upgraded equipment. Mike was super knowledgeable about the skis and bindings that I was interested in purchasing. He was patient as I questioned him about the numerous possible choices and I am confident that the products I ultimately purchased are going to be a blast on the slopes! He gave us a great deal as well!
