We were initially so excited to buy from this dealer. We had given a deposit that we were assured was fully refundable. When the deal fell through and I requested my deposit back, the business went silent. After multiple attempts over several months time, I finally heard from the GM stating that I had been refunded on a certain date and to check with my bank. The refund never came. I had been told they could provide documentation of the refund but after several more attempts, I never received that either. I never wanted to leave a negative review and simply wanted my deposit back. I will never do business with this dealer.

Was working with Mitch today exploring options to purchase a travel trailer in a few months and found him to be very knowledgeable, customer oriented, and a good listener to help us narrow down our search without having to go through a number of different models. He was a pleasure to work with.

Buying an RV is a big decision. Use this guide to shop Trade Winds RV Center's inventory with confidence.
Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any Trade Winds RV Center listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type
Travel trailers and fifth wheels need a capable tow vehicle. Class B and C motorhomes offer an easier entry point. Class A motorhomes give the most space. Ask the team at Trade Winds RV Center which type fits your camping style.
Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask Trade Winds RV Center for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
RV loans are specialized. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal when financing through Trade Winds RV Center in Clio, Michigan.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years is typical for larger RVs. Shorter-term loans save on total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% is typical. A larger down payment reduces monthly costs and total interest paid.
Pro Tip
Get pre-approved by your bank before visiting Trade Winds RV Center — it gives you a rate to compare against dealer financing.
Banks, credit unions, and specialized RV lenders all offer RV financing. Rates vary widely. Get a pre-approval from your bank or credit union before visiting Trade Winds RV Center — it gives you a baseline rate to compare against dealer-arranged financing.
