Buyer beware, extremely poor customer service after the sale. Travelled 6 hours from Pennsylvania to Virginia and bought a new Lance 825 truck bed camper. It was noted that the camper is ready to take camping off the lot as they supply a starter pack kit. Upon leaving Timberlake RV, I realized I never received the kit so I texted the salesman, Connor, asking if it was placed somewhere within the camper. I never received a response until I called the next morning stating I never received a response and was played off as it was an accident and they would ship one out. At the first red-light driving home, the lady in vehicle behind me exited her vehicle to tell me that my passenger side brake light and turn signal wasn't working. I thought that's strange it's brand new, kept driving and figured maybe a connection was loose and I'd get to it when I got home. Driving in the dark later that evening, a vehicle pulled up beside me and stated that there are no running lights on and only the drivers side brake is working. Now I'm thinking I just spent a small fortune and within 6 hours I'm already having issues and the lights aren't working. I get home and am showing my wife the interior and she says why does the bathroom door stick? Looking into it, the door is warped at the top and bottom and the two brackets with screws that attach the door to the sliding track are pulled out of the door. The following day I call Timberlake RV to state I'm upset that one, I was ignored after the sale in regard to the starter kit, the bathroom door is broken, and the lights don't work properly. Connor, the salesman says he will talk to the service people and see what they have to say. He says I should take a look at the wiring on the connector. So I open the connector and compare the wiring to a diagram to find that Timberlake RV wired the connector wrong. Great, easy fix. Check power with a multimeter and test light to the right rear brake light and turn signal and get no power. The wires are buried within the camper and unable to be traced so I have to wait to contact Timberlake RV on Monday. I back the truck in the garage and look at the backup camera mounted on the camper and it's extremely blurry. Get out to check the camera on top of the camper and it's full of moisture. Once again, contact Connor, he says take the screws out and take it apart. I think to myself this should be a warranty item and not for the customer to deal with, this camper is literally brand new. Fast forward to Monday morning, I call Connor and state I'm extremely unsatisfied with the camper as it's new and has all multiple issues. He says he will contact lance and put in warranty information for a claim. He then sends me information to a dealer near me that someone from the factory recommended. I respond about what the course of action is as the camper was broke before it left the lot now it has to go in for repairs and I am unable to use it. Is Timberlake going to pay for the transport of the camper to the nearest dealer and make the payment for the time it is getting repaired since I am unable to use it due to it being a safety issue and the lights not working. He responds that I will need to work this out with Lance as they are the ones who manufactured it and Timberlake RV just sells them so my issue is with Lance. I request the contact at Lance to get this resolved, received the contact and make a phone call. Lance says that the camper lights should have worked before it left the lot and it's the dealers problem. He also states he will get in contact with the sales rep of that territory to work with the dealer. I relay this information to Connor and he states "it did work we checked it before you pulled out and of course they're gonna say it's a dealer problem because they don't want to work on it" The Timberlake RV statement of it working before it left is invalid and a complete lie as I mentioned prior in this review that I opened the 7 pin connector and it was wired wrong. So there is no possible way it worked before I left. Buy elsewhere.
Very happy with our purchase! Mike and his employees were on it! We showed up and they had everything ready to go. Very thorough and showed us everything we needed. Best camper buying experience ever! We highly recommend. Update 12/5/2021..Service after the sale is non-existent. Had a leak between the grey tank and the outlet and they have done nothing to help us fix it. They will bend over backwards to get your money/5 star review but will do NOTHING if you have an issue. Robert in service needs to find a new job that doesn’t include customer service. At least try to help. If you buy a camper make sure you have somebody else that can service it and do warranty work.
After a lengthy wait, my wife and purchased a travel trailer from Mike at Timberlake RV. Our order was placed in March. Over that time Mike was forthright with the delays the manufacturer faced. When delivery was made, Mike stuck to the original price we had agreed to months ago. No increase to the new pricing from the factory. To us, this speaks volumes to the integrity with Mike and his staff. Fantastic buying experience!
Everyone of the guys at Timberlake RV were great and accommodating. We searched high and low during this COVID time for the RV that was a perfect fit for our family. Mike was fantastic. The RV was ready for pickup at the time that was communicated. The RV was as described and the process was made easy. We will be returning to Timberlake as customers. That should say quite a bit considering we live in New Jersey.
Definitely a five star experience. We bought our first RV from Timberlake in 2020, and then upgraded in 2024 for a larger RV. Both times we were able to enjoy shopping for it, buying it, and taking it home. We were always treated fairly, no haggling, and most of all, no surprises. If we are ever again in the market for an RV, it will be another one-stop experience at Timberlake. We highly recommend Timberlake RV!

Buying an RV is a big decision. Use this guide to shop Timberlake RV's inventory with confidence.
Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any Timberlake RV listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type
Travel trailers and fifth wheels need a capable tow vehicle. Class B and C motorhomes offer an easier entry point. Class A motorhomes give the most space. Ask the team at Timberlake RV which type fits your camping style.
Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask Timberlake RV for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
RV loans are specialized. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal when financing through Timberlake RV in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years is typical for larger RVs. Shorter-term loans save on total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% is typical. A larger down payment reduces monthly costs and total interest paid.
