This review is about a year overdue. We are now on our second Thanksgiving trip in our RV thanks to the great team at Sunshine State RV. We have a 2017 Roadtrek Zion, and our Ecotrek battery system had stopped working, which meant we were limited to electric sites and had no way to keep the fridge running while driving. The Roadtrek Ecotrek system is very impressive when it works, but it is complicated and most shops did not seem to know how to work on it. After posting about our issue on several RV forums, someone recommended Sunshine State RV. We called and spoke with Justin, who took the time to walk through possible causes, gave us estimates, and clearly knew these systems inside and out, enough that we were willing to make the four-hour drive north to have them work on our van. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem and got us back on the road in time for Thanksgiving 2024, and here we are on Thanksgiving again with everything still working great. We are very thankful we found them, they clearly know Roadtrek systems, and we will definitely use them again for any future issues.
I had previously written a negative review of Sunshine State RVs as a mistake was made and I thought I had purchased an AWD Ford Coachman and it turned it out it wasn’t. Mistakes happen and SSRVs owned up to the mistake and after a time they made me whole by allowing me to return the van and by finding me the Van/RV I was looking for. All the employees, especially Brandon Darling, and owner treated me professionally and kindly and now I am very satisfied with Sunshine State RVs. I am currently traveling the country and enjoying the Class B Coachman RV. I would now recommend strongly this company made up by employees who are extremely knowledge and helpful with finding me the perfect RV/Van.
Outstanding service -- professional, timely, informative, and proactive. Would trust them with anything on a class B RV. They replaced an inverter for us while we're traveling. Gideon, Justin, and James were great to work with and clearly experts at what they do. Details: We were on the way to FL from NY and our inverter died in our 2018 Roadtrek 210. We called Sunshine State a few days ahead of our arrival and booked a short "diagnostic" appointment for a few days after we arrived, which determined our old inverter was fried. They were able to keep working on it so we wouldn't have to leave that day without a working inverter; it was wonderful to actually have the parts in stock, including the wall-mount remote control, and get it all done in one visit and not have to wait several weeks. Installation and testing are a big job, especially when the inverter is a different brand. Since we didn't get started very early, we came back the next morning to finish the testing. They showed me pictures of things that had failed, as well as pictures of substandard things they noticed in the wiring that they also fixed and they kept me in the loop throughout the day. Pleasant waiting room with snacks, drinks, clean bathroom, etc. Public Service Announcement: Do not spill wine on your inverter. It voids the warranty and fries circuit boards.
I am having a great time at the Ocala horse farm. We have about 100 Coachmen Beyond Camper vans here. Meeting so many wonderful people! Sunshine State RV have been our awesome hosts. They have supplied many of our meals and they’ve been so very helpful to all of us. They are awesome!
