Purchased my very first RV on my own! The transaction only took a day and I was camping that weekend! Blake was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle had the towing capacity! There are some small issues inside the camper, but they are being addressed! Steve is very helpful and nice! Thank you! I love my new/used camper!
10/10 This is THEE RV place to shop. Dont go to the big chain stores that could careless about you. Southern Michigan RV is the small town mom and pop shop that makes you feel like a person. I will shop with them forever. I really appreciate you guys. If your ever up past the Zilwaukee. Beers are on me
I drove from north of Lansing to do business with them because they had the unit I wanted and I’m so glad that I did. Everyone I came into contact with at the dealership was awesome! Blake sold me my camper and took care of every detail and made the process fun! It’s so great to do work with a family owned business that cares about taking care of their customers. 5 stars.
I strongly recommend thoroughly inspecting any purchase made from this business. I discovered that the furnace in the camper I purchased was damaged only after I needed to use it. A mobile technician inspected it and confirmed that the internal components had been cut, rendering it irreparable and recommending a complete replacement. When I attempted to use the warranty I was sold, it was denied. Upon contacting Russ, one of the owners, he refused to take responsibility, claiming (based solely on photos) that the damage was caused by animals. The technician directly refuted this, explaining there were no signs of rodent activity. As a result, I am now living in this camper without heat, unable to afford the $1,200 required for a new furnace. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and I will neither purchase from this business again nor recommend them to others.
Would not recommend this place for any repairs, I waited 8 months for parts, the only commutation was when I called. After the 8 month wait I was told It was going to be another 8 weeks. To get released from their work order with my warranty company I had to pay for parts they order that did come in, they turned out to be the wrong parts for my RV, they would not take them back. The 8 month wait for parts was for nothing, as their diagnoses was wrong and would have cost my warranty company over 5,000 dollars. Instead, it was a 175 dollar part that fixed my RV.

Buying an RV is a big decision. Use this guide to shop Southern Michigan RV's inventory with confidence.
Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any Southern Michigan RV listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type
Travel trailers and fifth wheels need a capable tow vehicle. Class B and C motorhomes offer an easier entry point. Class A motorhomes give the most space. Ask the team at Southern Michigan RV which type fits your camping style.
Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask Southern Michigan RV for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
RV loans are specialized. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal when financing through Southern Michigan RV in Hillsdale, Michigan.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years is typical for larger RVs. Shorter-term loans save on total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% is typical. A larger down payment reduces monthly costs and total interest paid.
