Buying an RV is a big decision. Use this guide to shop RVs and Boats for Less's inventory with confidence.
Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any RVs and Boats for Less listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type
Travel trailers and fifth wheels need a capable tow vehicle. Class B and C motorhomes offer an easier entry point. Class A motorhomes give the most space. Ask the team at RVs and Boats for Less which type fits your camping style.
Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask RVs and Boats for Less for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
RV loans are specialized. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal when financing through RVs and Boats for Less in Chubbuck, Idaho.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years is typical for larger RVs. Shorter-term loans save on total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% is typical. A larger down payment reduces monthly costs and total interest paid.

Want to buy nice trailers, they have several. Want to ever see your trailer again when it goes on for warranty work? Not a chance here. They talk out of both sides of they mouth. The service manage will tell you the part is on order. But 2 weeks later when you call to see if its done, nope they had to wait for some reason, or it slipped their mind, but they'll get right on it! Ankther week goes by, and it's something else happened. Show up to talk and it was shipped 4 weeks ago and not their fault. But wait, they only had it for 3 wks, how could the item have shipped 4 wks ago? Oops, not their fault they can't keep their lies straight. Guess you'll just need to keep waiting. It's a good thing you didn't buy the rv to USE it. VERY disrespectful and disappointing to deal with.
I just purchased a used TJ from this dealership. Scot (Scooter) was very easy to work with and made the whole process very easy. He and the entire staff were very helpful. They had me back on the road home in no time. The facility is impressive itself with a full service paint ave canvas shop! I would highly recommend giving them a call if you're in the market for a boat or an RV. Thanks again for an excellent buying experience!
I brought my boat here to have my steering fixed it was unbelievably hard to turn the steering wheel. I had diagnosed everything I could and had also taken it to another boat mechanic last year. Who said they fixed it but they took all summer so I never got to put it in the water and test it. Brought my boat here two weeks ago they were very helpful and fixed my boat in exactly the amount of time they said. it would take two weeks with ordering parts and then labor. I feel like the price was very reasonable and my boat steers amazing. I am unbelievably greatfull and would highly recommend them. Thank you!
What a nightmare... the salesman was our best friend until we signed paperwork then he was too busy for us. Asked them to fix screen on door wasn't done, once we got it home found mouse crap in the roll down bed, the a.c. needs charged, and the batteries in the electric door lock were corroded... I wouldn't recommend I feel like we way over paid and wouldn't go back... lesson learned.
Buyer Beware: Unsafe Installation, No Accountability. Zero stars. Update* We couldn't find this organization on BBB and it is because they are still listed as Park-A-Way RV and Marine Super Center* We purchased an RV from RVs and Boats for Less in early 2023 which we use as a rental for our small business, and paid for them to install a solar system with a Renogy charger/inverter, which we selected based on strong reviews and its common use by other reputable RV dealers. Unfortunately, the inverter was installed without basic safety components—including the essential fuse between the battery and inverter—creating a significant fire risk. This oversight put not only our property at risk, but also the safety of our rental customers as well as ourselves. It also voided the warranty of our $1000 piece of equipment. From the beginning, the inverter experienced repeated faults, leading to multiple service calls and frustrated customers left without power. We brought the RV back to the dealership no fewer than five times. Each time, we trusted the advice of their technicians, only to receive conflicting or incorrect information. At various points, we were told the issue was our battery (which was brand-new, manufacturer-approved lithium and tested by professionals), the size of our battery bank (which had been properly spec’d by electricians and the inverter manufacturer), or our solar panel setup. Notably, they had not even tested the battery before making some of these claims. After having the RV independently inspected (having lost all faith in this organization), we were told that the original install constituted a fire hazard. When we brought this to the dealer's attention, they installed the missing fuse and assured us all was well. However, the system still failed immediately upon our return home, completely draining the battery and disabling key functions like the electric tongue jack. At one point, we were told the original installer had been terminated due to negligence—yet the dealership has shown little interest in correcting the errors made. We were even offered a free uninstallation so we could pay someone else to redo the job, which is telling in itself, especially after repeatedly being told "the problem is this". These claims were again made without any proper inspection or testing of the unit. Despite this, the dealership has now had our RV for nearly three weeks without offering a clear resolution. Despite repeated requests, we have been denied access to the dealership's owner and have been met with ongoing delays, contradictory explanations, and shifting blame. We were told they had an event in Idaho Falls which apparently was more important than the safety and satisfaction of their existing customers. As of now, we still have received no update on the status of our RV and no proposal of an acceptable resolution. In short, this experience has been extremely dangerous and entirely unprofessional. There has been no accountability for a major safety issue, and no concrete steps taken to make things right. For anyone considering purchasing an RV, or even just getting service or upgrades here: proceed with extreme caution.
