I have never left a review this low. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly and kind! But the care I received was minimal. I got established with Rachel Gardner. I am a complicated case, uncontrolled migraines for 20+ years that don’t respond to medications. I wasn’t expecting a miracle, just continued care. Every appointment with her, she said she would put in an order to get me started on Botox treatments. She said this at every appointment for over a year. I never received Botox treatments. The medications she prescribed didn’t help but she kept telling me to give them more time, so I did. I asked to receive a MRI which she did actually order for me. Once the results came back normal, I was told there was no need to schedule another appointment with her. But my symptoms had not improved at all. I was still trying to continue trying medications and new diagnostics. The care team is incredibly difficult to get ahold of. I had some sort of prior auth situation where only one dose of a new medication was authorized and so a new prior auth had to be sent and completed. I called once a week (didn’t want to call more often because they say repeated calls will slow down callback time) for over a month to try and get this taken care of. When I finally got ahold of someone, I was told they had thrown out the prior auth paperwork because they thought it was the same one they already did. Despite me leaving several messages explaining the situation. They admitted they just thought I was confused. After establishing with a neurologist in Davis and being prescribed Botox, I had a referral sent to try and receive Botox at this clinic to shorten my drive 3 hours. They say it takes up to 8 weeks for referrals to be processed. I called about 6 weeks later to ensure they received the referral. They did. It has now been almost double that amount of time and I have still yet to hear anything from them. I am grateful for any amount of care I did receive, but I will not be going back.
I have not been to a doctors office that was this thorough ever! I saw Faith and not only did she take the time to listen to me, she sensed I was trying to rush and remember everything so she made a point to say that she has time to listen to all my concerns. I have only been to one appointment but I think She is AWESOME! She actually prescribed a medicine to get rid of my migraines that has zero side effects-Game changer for me!! If you’re having any kind of neurological symptoms, I definitely recommend this place!!!
I’ve seen a few providers here, and Faith Clause is by far the best! Honestly, I was ready to ask for a referral down to UCSF— as I had been a patient there for another issue, because I just didn’t really click with the previous doctor I saw here. My primary care provider asked me to hold off and try the provider the were putting me with, and I’m so glad I listened. I’ve now been with Faith for around two years, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without her. When I first came to her, I was experiencing 3 to 5 migraines a week. Now, I rarely even get a headache. She’s thorough, compassionate, and really takes the time to listen. I feel seen and supported every time I have an appointment. Highly recommend!
I was referred to catalyst by an ophthalmologist after they found that there was swelling in my optic nerves (Papilledema), I called catalyst and scheduled an appointment with them after the referral was submitted, getting an appointment scheduled with them was quick and easy, I found the receptionist I spoke with to be quite pleasant and they were able to book my appointment relatively quickly. My wife & I met with Faith - Faith was honest in letting us know that while papilledema isn’t an uncommon diagnosis, it is almost never seen in my demographic (late 20’s male) without it being the after effects of a bigger issue, such as a brain lesion, so for that reason her fist step of action was to get an MRI scheduled for me, Faith understood that this wouldn’t be fun news for either my wife or I to hear and communicated it with compassion, grace and confidence, which allowed us to leave the appointment without feeling afraid. When we left the appointment Faith gave us her business cellphone number and asked us to text her after the MRI was done so she could get the images reviewed and move up my follow appointment if there was something that needed to be reviewed with us. The catalyst team got the MRI referral submitted promptly, and then called me after that was taken care of and gave me the phone number to the group that would be doing the imaging. When it was difficult for me to get an MRI scheduled with that group quickly, catalyst got me referred over to another provider that was able to get me in the next day. After getting the MRI - Before driving home I texted faith’s business phone as she had asked to let her know that the MRI was done, as I pulled up to my house after getting the MRI, faith had texted back letting me know that she would be calling me and needed me to pick up, on the call she communicated with the same compassion and confidence We had experienced during the appointment with her at the office, and proceeded to let me know that she and another doctor from Catalyst had reviewed my MRI together and that it had unfortunately revealed a brain tumor that required immediate attention- she then communicated, once again with compassion & confidence, that given the urgency the catalyst team felt this needed to be treated immediately and that my wife & I needed to drive down to Sacramento and admit myself through the ER to UC Davis. Faith had already connected with the MRI provider and asked them to burn the MRI on a disk so that we could pick it up on our way down to Sacramento. On our way down to Sacramento she called us twice, first to let us know that she would be giving UC Davis a courtesy call on our behalf to let them know how serious catalyst felt my circumstances were, and then once again called to communicate that while this needed immediate attention, her and the other providers that had reviewed it at Catalyst all believed the tumor was most consistent with a Non-cancerous tumor. Faith followed up with my wife and I via text multiple times after I was admitted to UC Davis - The neurosurgeon team there agreed with Catalyst’s call of this being something that needed immediate attention, and I had surgery to remove the tumor (which was confirmed to be non-cancerous) 5 days after the catalyst team recommended that I admit myself to UC Davis. I’ve had follow up appointments with Faith/Catalyst since my procedure and am very grateful to have a specialty provider of this caliber located in Redding, this is a great benefit to my family while I continue my extended recovery after brain surgery. Faith has been a great support on this side of things as we try to juggle the judgement call of when it will be a good time to explore stopping the seizure medications I was put on after my surgery - she has been very reassuring and taken a great approach of offering her recommendations based on my unique life circumstances.
This office is the one of the best in Redding. Faith is an amazing practitioner, who truly listens to her patients and their concerns. She takes time to explain everything to me in detail, always makes sure I understand everything and have the opportunity to ask questions. She has been an integral part of my health team.
