Working with the folks at optimum RV, in Tallahassee, has been a privilege. They have worked with us, through uncertainty and made us feel very comfortable in our decisions to move forward. I highly recommend optimum RV, to anyone purchasing a recreational vehicle.

If you are new to owning a RV don't go to this dealership alone. Always use an independent person to go over the unit you are looking at, or stand to be taken advantage of like we were. We purchased a used class a Jayco precept 31ul motorhome from the optimum RV Tallahassee store. We paid for a PDI, don't know why, vehicle wasn't cleaned, numerous mechanical items did not work and were not disclosed during our walk through of the vehicle. According to Shawn and Peyton who showed us our vehicle, everything was good to go and working. We asked about the roof, and was told all was good to go and no attempt to give us access to the roof, as it was a safety concern for non employees to access the roof. Showed us that the hot water heater was working, only halfway, works on the electric side, not the propane side. The cigarette lighters on the dash inoperable, was told to get them fixed and send them the bill, yeah ok, that's not going to happen. Received phone call from Brandon, service manager, and he offered no help in resolving these matters. He was only interested in what our extended warranty covered and what we have had done to the vehicle was maintenance and there was nothing they could do about it. The water pump was operating until they ran it without water, oops, you guessed it, they fried it. Let's put it this way, we left the dealership with the unit as it was one we truly liked due to the Jay Ride, that was pretty much it. We drove it home. and took it straight to a RV service center near our house just to have it repaired and gone through to address any other issues. The bypass valve doesn't work, thankfully it was broken in the best way possible so it could still be winterized Needless to say six weeks later and to the toon of $7400. dollars in repairs we now have a useable motorhome. There are still other things that need repairs, however we have ran out of money for more repairs. We reached out to Peyton and dealership and was told we would receive a phone call that afternoon, after they reviewed the copy of the invoice I sent them. We finally got a call from Brandon, like I said, his job is obviously to not pay for anything and put it back on the consumer. I can go on and on about the bait and hook this dealership and their employees are trained to do. BUYERS BE WEAR, please pass the word that Optimum RV is not a dealership that deserves anyone's business, especially after the way they have treated a veteran and retired leo.

Today’s guy Michael was great answered all questions and concerns and when an unexpected problem arrived It was fixed with brand new parts on the spot! The power jack that retracts after you get hooked up to your truck would not come up it was bent. He went in and talked to our sales guy . Then out came a Text to replace it with brand new equipment!!! Don’t remember his name, but he was Very knowledgeable quick couldn’t ask for anything more! I was concerned with the refrigerator, not getting cold, but by the time we got home, it was nice and cold! So happy that we decided to check there after our horrible experience at camping World! I specifically asked about the water tanks and was told they had been filled, tested, and worked perfectly. That was not true. After sitting for two months, we filled the freshwater tank and water gushed out from the underpinning. We discovered a crack that had been leaking the entire time. We pulled down the underpinning ourselves and saw the issue clearly. We returned the camper to Optimum RV and explained exactly where the leak was. After a few days, they claimed they couldn’t find a leak and tried to charge us $225. When asked if the tech had even pulled the underpinning, it turned out he hadn’t. Only after insisting did they recheck—and then found the crack. Instead of taking responsibility, they tried to charge us $3,000 for a tank replacement and double tech fees ($369), even though the first tech didn’t do his job. We refused the repair and paid the outrageous fees just to get our camper back. We’re now fixing the issue ourselves. This was a complete breach of trust. We were misled during the sale, dismissed during service, and then overcharged for their own mistake. Based on our experience—and the many similar reviews online—I strongly advise others to avoid Optimum RV Tallahassee. Get everything in writing, and don’t trust verbal guarantees. The plywood is completely gone on one side. This is not a new issue. I specifically asked about the play in the floor and leaks.

I purchased a new to us 2020 Forza in Bushnell a week ago. The put on new tires but failed to install extended valve stems so I could not access my inside dual tires. Spoke with the Tallahassee store on Thursday and they said they could install them first thing on Monday. I showed up at 8:00 and by 8:10 my rig was being worked on. They did find that my back left inside tire had not been installed correctly and the tire was flat and had lost the bead to the rim. They could not repair the problem at their shop, but instead sent me to a truck repair nearby. The owner was expecting me when I arrived due to excellent communication from the Optimum shop. Since the tires and installation was brand new and I had already developed a problem, they told the truck repair not to charge me for their labor. This is the type of excellent service that I am glad I found with Optimum. My sales experience last week was excellent, the staff was outstanding. I am glad to see that this level of excellence has carried over to the Tallahassee store as well. The repair was done quickly and in a professional manner. Keep up the good work!

The Tallahassee and Bushnell are the only locations I would recommend to go to. Ocala location treated us like we were not good enough to shop there. We started at the Tallahassee location with a very knowledgeable sales rep named Bobby. I was worried about being female and looking without my partner because he had to work that Sunday. Bobby made me feel comfortable. I had went to see a Montana. Absolutely loved it. The next Sunday we went and looked and it was sold🙄. Bobby showed us a Solitude, since he knew what kind of space we were looking for and suggested we check out their other locations online. There was a Bighorn that sounded interesting in Bushnell. Bobby tried to get it up to Tallahassee but wasn't able to. So we decided to make the trip and look at a few at that location and take a look at a few in Ocala on our way back to Pensacola. We went to Bushnell, let them know Bobby sent us and they were very up front about the Bighorn, it had water damage and it was not something we wanted to take on. Looked at a few others that were nice but not quite what we wanted. We stopped in Ocala, letting them know Bobby sent us and we provided the sales rep with the ones we wanted to take a look at. His Sales Manager came back and talked to us. He acted like we were wasting his time, that his used section would be gone before we decided, not asking us if we could put a deposit down since we were paying cash. Proceeded to talk down to us, like we were not good enough to shop there. The Sales Manager finally agreed to let the sales rep show us what we wanted to see. I am very glad I did not like any of them we saw. I would not have wanted to purchase at that location. In the end we did go with the Grand Design Solitude at the Tallahassee location. Everyone from Bobby, his Sales Manager, Parts Department and Install Team were fabulous. They really made us feel like family there and we greatly appreciate their help. We are comfortable living in our 5th wheel full time in Texas! I hope the 2 locations here are just as great as the Tallahassee location.
