Lichtsinn RV Forest Iowa Sits about 2.5 hours from Des Moines Iowa. This location is a Winnebago RV Dealership close to the factory. It is well lit. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The location has an inside showroom which is a big plus. My trip here was to see the Winnebago Revel which research says came in all season with a heated floor. Why did I give this location a 3 verse 5? 1. The sales staff which was I was looking at Revels was intercepted by a customer who just started talking to him like I wasn’t there. It was completely frustrating , there was no apology from the customer or the sales rep. Had I not been 6 hours from home I would have stopped the man interrupting us and told the sales person this interaction was unprofessional and left the location. 2. My research showed and even today still shows Revels can come with a heated floor. Even a section showing what to do if a Revel heated floor wasn’t working. Maybe this was older models? My trip and treatment to this location were a customer service failure and an information failure.
brought a Tiffin allegro bus with an Aqua Hot issue in per service came back a few hours later they had a diagnosis that it needed for parts. They ordered the parts we had to leave the bus in Iowa. Go home in Wisconsin. Got a call the following week that the parts finally arrived after been lost in a snowstorm. They said they installed the parts and decided to put a nonworking burner in that. They knew as bad from another unit and said they burned everything up. Did they put a new? I went to retrieve the motorhome and asked for the used parts and wanted to know what was still in my bus the new parts the old parts the used parts or what low and behold they said the Mechanic went on vacation that day, oh and by the way, he cleaned out his bay and threw the parts away and lawn, behold the garbage truck driver just instantly appeared out of nowhere and picked the garbage up for the day so they couldn’t come across the used parts. Try to charge $4000. When I told them I’d be arriving with my attorney. They called back 30 minutes later and said they were gonna charge me for a battery service and send me on my way in 0° temperatures without my Aqua Hot working all I can say is they mustn’t be Tiffin knowledgeable because they are sure as Heck went through a lot of trouble to cover up their efforts and then charge me $4000 to not fix anything but live and learn I took it to someone who was qualified to work on the Aqua Hot service about $1500 in parks and labor and they had me back on my way. Find a bagel dealer is gonna charge me approximately over $9000 to fix my had not been smart enough to know better. This is very a dealership with a large pro showroom and people everywhere sitting around in offices, but what they’re doing I don’t know.
This past week I traveled from Oregon to Iowa to purchase my "new to me Travato 59k". I had lots of options across the country but chose Lichtsinn RV because of the reviews and the presence they have in the market. I was not disappointed. They answered all my questions prior to my travel there. Renae is first class all the way. Everyone at the dealership was so kind and helpful to me and by the time I started my 2,000 mile drive home I knew I had made the right choice. Facility there in Forest City were some of the best I have ever seen. They are worth the trip. I will be recommending my friends who show interest to them in the future.
I highly recommend to purchase an RV from Lichtsinn Motors. My Sales consultant, Deanna, was friendly, helpful, and always prompt with responses. Their price was much lower for the Revel than the RV centers from the east coast. Importantly, I valued Lichtsinn’s reputation of honesty. Since my wife and I came from Long Island, Lichtsinn conveniently provided a shuttle service from the St. Paul, Minnesota airport to their facility in Forest City, Iowa. We then used their loaner car to drive to the nearby Cobble Stone Inn for an overnight stay. The atmosphere at the Lichtsinn RV Center was warm and welcoming. Our overall experience with Lichtsinn RV was exceptional. We are happy we made the trip to Iowa.
