In 1968 my father, Ben Sellers Jr., decided to test the RV industry with the purchase of four travel trailers. He thought of this simply as a way to produce a little extra income for our growing family. These sold fairly quickly, and it was not long after this that we matured into a full-line RV dealership. On a limited budget and with a simple dream, each member of our family's life was changed! I was only 3 years old at the time, but I do remember how good it was to go camping as a child. My father was a very hard working man. He knew that with diligence and a fair customer service ethic, su...

If you are shopping for a Rockwood product which I have this place is the best. I knew nothing about the nitty gritty of owning an RV when I purchased my Rockwood Mini lite at the 2023 RV show in Greenville. I have since traveled all over the country and always returning to Lakeside for My service. Very little has Been needed after 25,000 miles ! Whenever I have a question big or small Brandon is always at the other end to help me. Great company, great people- trustworthy and honest. I have been to so many places and had so much fun - do it- you won’t regret it!
Stopped to find a part to repair our RV fresh water connection. Brandon was able to hook us up with a temporary repair until we can get the correct parts. Very knowledgeable and patient.
We were on our way to the mountains when I caught the canopy on the steel carport on the way out of our driveway and practically ripped it off. We couldn't open the door so we stopped by Lakeside RV sales. We just wanted to get it secure so we could get in and out of the RV for the trip. Well, they got to looking at it and discovered they had the parts in stock. So they put all hands on deck and fixed it in about an hour. Awesome! We were back on the road and totally enjoyed our trip with a functioning canopy that really came in handy. Can't say enough about how grateful we are to have them do what they did. Saved our camp trip with my kids.
We purchased our 2023 rockwood 2516s from here. Scott Sellers was our salesman, very nice guy. It's a family owned company. If your looking go see Scott !
I've never bought an RV there, but have been forced to buy an RV toilet valve there while camping nearby and having a leaking toilet. The same OEM part I bought is for sale on the Walmart website for $12.99. After taxes and out of Lakeside RV door, $80.83. There's profit, and then there's voracious avarice. Lakeside RV, that means excessively greedy in case you missed that. Update: 11/9/2025 I want to acknowledge the lengthy and respectful response I got from Lakeside regarding what I felt like was an unreasonably high price on a plumbing part. I've changed my 1 Star to 4 Star for this reason. I absolutely understand a profit margin and the need to pay overhead and payroll and I want to help you compete with companies like Camping World. Your offer is generous but I would never take advantage of you, and I expect to pay for what I purchase. I still find the price pretty high but want to acknowledge it was an OEM part I requested, and so far so good. If it breaks, I will take you up on the offer. Again, thanks very much for your professional response and customer service. Robin

Buying an RV is a big decision. Use this guide to shop Lakeside RV's inventory with confidence.
Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any Lakeside RV listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type
Travel trailers and fifth wheels need a capable tow vehicle. Class B and C motorhomes offer an easier entry point. Class A motorhomes give the most space. Ask the team at Lakeside RV which type fits your camping style.
Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask Lakeside RV for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
RV loans are specialized. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal when financing through Lakeside RV in Anderson, South Carolina.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years is typical for larger RVs. Shorter-term loans save on total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% is typical. A larger down payment reduces monthly costs and total interest paid.
