A lot has changed in twenty years, as we have expanded on to two buildings, four inventory lots, and over twenty employees. Today, Kroubetz Lakeside Campers is a full-service RV dealership, and the only Route 66 Dealership in the area.

Our 3.5 y/o Jayco’s refrigerator compressor burned out. Kroubetz was closest insurance repair facility. Was upset we had to take trailer over 3 hours away to be serviced but I am extremely happy we did. Everyone from the front office staff to the repair tech’s were awesome, friendly and very knowledgeable. They dealt with the insurance company directly and had our rv up and running in less than 3 weeks. Most of that time was spent waiting for a new fridge to be delivered. Would recommend Kroubetz’s for any repairs.
We recently bought a camper from Kroubetz. It was a fantastic experience! They took the time to explain things, answer all of our questions, walk through the camper to show how everything worked and made sure we were comfortable. There was no pressure at all. It was like we met old friends we didn’t know we had. I would highly recommend Kroubetz!
The only reason I’m giving this place a 2 star was because I did get help from one person on the phone, Marianne, thank you so much. As for our visit to this business, we went to see a camper that was listed as available, we soon found out that it was destroyed in a storm over a month ago. Why is this still listed? My first thought was bait and switch!! When we walked in the business, no one was around and I mean no one. My husband and I started to look for a person somewhere. We did find the owner Kim, she had no interest in helping us at all, as owner you would think she would have some interest in new customers. We were told someone would be with us soon and turned her chair around to her computer. Soon, Lana joined us. We agreed to look at 1 of the 2 campers that Marianne text to me on Saturday. Our list of must haves were an older 5th Wheel 2018 or older, PRE COVID. We were shown a 2021 that was made much cheaper than the older ones. Lana pretty much disagreed with me. I’m almost 63 and my husband 64 and our families camped for years. Camping is no way new to us. Or campers. I asked Lana about the Rockwood that Marianne told us about. Lana had no idea what we were talking about, oh that’s a customer’s unit not for sale. WRONG, after checking with Kim, she informed Lana, that unit was indeed for sale. It seems as if the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. There is no communication between workers. Lana’s excuse for the misinformation we got was Marianne’s fault because she just started there and didn’t know what she was talking about. Gee, I would hate to work with co workers like that!! Kim was more worried about us not liking the 2021 unit with water damage. Kim’s words were “I can’t believe you would pass on that unit, I’ve reduced it thousands of dollars.” We don’t care how much a unit has been reduced, we were not interested in a unit that needed floors replace and having delamination. To put it bluntly, we felt like they could not care if we were there or not, look down her nose at us, owners should never do that!! We would NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GO THERE. THEY ARE WILLING TO SELL YOU DAMAGED UNITS JUST SO THEY CAN MAKE A BUCK AND THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN THEIR CUSTOMERS. MARIANNE EXCLUDED We wish her luck in her career, never even meeting her, she is absolutely the nicest person there!! Kim, as far as leaving there on good terms, what was I suppose to say? Lana herself said you are short on employees and that the lady I talked to on the phone did not know what she was doing, she’s new. That is a lie. Secondly, the OUTSIDE situation happened AFTER I left my review, had nothing to do with that. Review was totally and honestly how we were treated, words and actions or you and Lana. There were no other people looking at units when we were there, second lie. You can ramble on and on about how honest and caring you and your employees are, that’s just funny. I am a very honest person, I play no games and say exactly how it is. No BS from me. I will leave this review up on google because it is the truth. Also, you calling others and telling them to call me to remove it, you don’t even have guts to call me yourself. I stand by review and THATS IT! Enough said!
Kimberly and Lana were awesome to work with. I traveled 7 hours to buy from them. Honest and good midwest people!!!! They do not over pressure you! Thanks so much for helping us out!
My wife and I worked with Kimberly and Lana on checking out a new 2025 Grand Design Reflection 337RLS. Both were very helpful and knowledgeable with our questions and concerns. Unfortunately we decided to go in a different direction. I would certainly recommend anyone looking to purchase to check them out and I will certainly do the same in the future.
