Great experience! And worth the drive! My wife and I had been looking for a specific year, make and model 5th wheel for over a year. We found the unit at Holiday RV online. I had several email communications regarding the 5th wheel with Kevin Lentz, and he was incredibly informative and helpful. We live in Wisconsin, 6 hours away from Jefferson, Iowa, and I was struggling as to whether or not to make the trip. Kevin stated that we wouldn't be disappointed with the unit, and we weren't. The 2021 5th wheel was like brand new. As the weather wasn't cooperating, Kevin pulled the unit inside, and had it washed up. As this is our first 5th wheel, Kevin opened it all up, and talked me through everything I needed to know about the exterior and interior. We couldn't pass up the condition of the unit, and the price was thousands less than the units we had looked at or were currently avaiable. We are grateful to Kevin and all the staff at Holiday RV. You can tell it is a family business who cares about their customer. We have out first trip scheduled for the first week of April. Thanks Kevin & Holiday RV!
Easy as can be! We have lived in Jefferson for many years and know both of the families that sell campers and motor homes in town. Both are wonderful businesses. Brian Sandage was our sales person at Holiday RV. Not only was he patient, but very helpful and quick to respond to our questions. We went from thinking we wanted a bumper hitch trailer, to actually buying a 42ft fifth wheel with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an outdoor kitchen! We had a camper to trade in and Brian gave us an offer on it, site unseen, that was very fair. We agreed on the overall price, the type of hitch we wanted and picked out all of our interior/exterior choices for our new camper, being custom made by Chaparral. The camper arrived on time and was everything we hoped for and more! The factory did do an "oops" by sending us a wrong couch, but no problem! Brian called this spring and told us our new couch had arrived and they are taking care if it. I couldn't be happier with the service we received from Brian, Marty, Jane, Dale and the rest of the crew. Our new camper was very well inspected, clean and ready to go! I would most definitely work with Holiday RV in the future. Thanks again, everyone!
We purchased a pre-owned travel trailer from Kevin at Holiday RV. Kevin and the crew there were great. We had a couple of different trailers we were interested in, and he very patiently showed us all of them. The entire time, there was absolutely no pressure. When we finished looking, he excused himself so my wife and I could talk in private. Once we came to an agreement, he took us through the process very methodically. The service here stands out. Unlike a lot of places that will sell an RV, they don't charge you for the walk-through. They don't pressure you to buy a bunch of extras or a warranty. Those things are available, but Kevin simply offered them and wasn't concerned whether we purchased them or not. They actually go through any trailer they bring in and make sure everything works before they sell it. The trailer we purchased had an awning that was apparently not in good shape. They replaced it and fixed up a minor defect in the dinette table. These were not things we asked for; the awning was done before we had even seen the trailer or shown interest. The table was noticed by Kevin, and he took care of it. Our hitch was not at the proper height from our last trailer as the previous dealer was lazy with the hitch and just settled it too high because there was a bump making it so it couldn't be done right. The crew at Holiday took the extra few minutes, filed the bump down, flipped the hitch over, and made it the way it should be. There were no "hidden fees" like the walk-through fee, the hitch adjust fee, de-winterization fee, or anything like that. We've had those fees at three other dealers. The crew at Holiday treated us like they care and wanted us to have a great experience. It was worth the drive from Des Moines.
We appreciated the immediate attention given to us when we thought we had a major water leak. We woke up to the camper sitting in a “pond”. My husband drove it up to them and they had all on board trying to find the leak. As it turns out it was our brand new water hose which had a slit in it . They said it happens and not to feel bad. Thank you again Holiday RV for handling our situation in such a timely manner!
