We just bought a class C motorhome from them and the experience was the best I have had at any dealership. Robert with sales was great and still happy to help after the sale. Molly in finance was great to work with, and Josh and Haley even drove out to us after we left the dealership with what turned out to be a minor issue. I have dealt with many RV dealerships and Great American RV Superstore in Grand Bay Alabama is by far the best. I dont normally leave reviews, but these folks are too good not to leave a positive review.
Danny provided excellent customer service. He was friendly, knowledgeable, made the process seamless. We traded in our old camper for a new 2025 Dutchmen. The process was quick. Before you go to camping world please see Danny first.
This review isn't necessarily about our new Stratus but of the people we encountered at Great American in Grand Bay. The three main players that made this a great purchase are Danny, Rudy and JD. Danny: In late September we went to another location and things didn't work out. It actually left a bad taste (full disclosure, the manager of that location has already reached out and apologized and things would be different if we went back today). We decided to give it another chance and we were referred to Danny by family. We made the 2 hour ride over and Danny was waiting for us. He did the normal small talk to get to know us, offered us water, you know, the norm. Except, Danny, I feel was truly being legit, like that's who he really is. We looked at about a half dozen different campers and not once did we feel rushed. And, when we needed to discuss things privately, he would wait outside. I failed to mention, he was in a post-op sling so he was an arm down. Fast forward, we found a 2025 Venture Stratus we loved. We signed the papers and put a deposit down. The next day we headed back over. Danny met us outside and introduced us to JD. By this time we had all the papers signed and we were ready to go. JD: this young man fielded a barrage of questions all the while getting my truck ready to pull being this one was much bigger than our previous one. His walk through was very informative and he took his time sometimes having to show us something multiple times. So we loaded up and headed home. The trip home was longer obviously. We get home and back the Stratus under the pole barn and set it up with no problems because of JD's instructions. Then we realized the keys weren't properly working. We called back to Danny very frustrated. Danny was a champ and put in touch with a manager, Rudy. Rudy: the next morning, Rudy drove the 2 hours to come fix our lock, on a Sunday. I mean, who does that? He spent the time to ensure all the other locks were working, and did I mention, on a Sunday? That's our experience. A few hiccups along the way but nothing waited. It was all handled immediately. This type of customer service will have us coming back when it's time to upgrade again. Thanks Danny, JD and Rudy for being kick-ass.
We went in to get an adopter plug on the 10/21/25 how rude. The guy that was at the entrance counter actually didn’t want to have the courtesy of properly give us our change. The proper way is we hand the money into the hand it should be given back into the hand. He put it on the counter. I know for a fact we will not be giving this place our business again.
We had a wonderful experience me and my husband.Johnny personally helped us look at all the RVs, and also Wayne was a big help all the way from Wayne Johnny all the way to the financing of our travel trailer. We could not have asked for a better team help us. I can’t say enough good things about Johnny’s RV y’all need to go check them out. They are awesome.!!!! Terry and Theresa Wallace
