The service from the Las Vegas branch was good. The camper not so much. After 1000 miles around Nevada, Arizona and Utah I think I’m now permanently deaf from the squeaks, bangs, rumbles and rattles. Our RV leaked when it rained. The dump hose had a split in it (not ideal). For what it costs you’re getting a cheap poorly built and poorly designed RV that is built for abuse. It has the basic features eg the shower and toilet worked well as did the heater, A/C, fridge and cooker etc and there was plenty of storage. The bedding provided was abysmal. The pillows were like a bag of cotton balls, the comforters were faded and marked and the bath towels were little bigger than hand towels. There was no plug for the kitchen sink and no dish cloth or cleaning materials apart from a broom. One of these RVs would be okay if you live in the area and can provision it from home but ideal for overseas travelers.
First time renting a travel trailer and the gentleman who did the reservation for us was very helpful. Picking up the trailer another man helped us and left us concerned that we would not have enough power or water for our trip. Again, being our first time this did concern us but it the end we did just fine. Would have been 5 stars if it not had been for his trepidation for our trip. Knowing what we know now we would rent again from Cruise America.
I was a first time renter (and RV driver) and Cruise America made everything pretty straightforward. Between the videos I watched beforehand and the check-in explanation, I was comfortable to get going and learned a lot as my trip proceeded. Our model was large and loud and rattled a lot, but it felt like an old friend by the time we dropped it off. I don't like the fact that the check engine light remained permanently on (due to a tire pressure warning) but they said there was no way to change it and that the tires were normal. We had to call the 1-800 number once very late at night and they were immediately responsive and helpful. That's big!!!
Customer service was great, unit worked well just wish the black tank was bigger. The AC was awesome to have and didn’t seem to use much fuel. Shower and hot water made a huge difference after being in the desert all day. This is the second time I have rented from cruise America and I will definitely do it again.
great experience with my family, got to see National parks we've never seen. Had a question mid-trip received a response right away and continued on!! Will definitely rent again!!
