Just returned from an 8 night rental. We had the Standard Motorhome from Denver Cruise America. The pickup and return process was quick and easy. Everything on our unit was operating properly. The RV was clean and in good shape. The kitchen kit we rented was ready at pickup. We were very pleased with our experience.

We rented a standard rv from December 24th to today. Half way through our drive to Texas our engine light came on. The rv had a hard time turning over and starting and it smelled like propane was leaking. The fridge never worked off propane and we had to throw things away. I reached out to travelers assistance and they took a whole day to get back to me. Then I talked to them for like an hour they told me they would tell me where to take the rv to get looked at. They never got back to me. I just got home and still nothing from them. I had to keep starting the rv every half hour while in texas visiting family because the rv was having troubles turning on. Someone even asked if we needed a jump. I told them I just have to switch it off and try to start it again and it should turn on. You guys need to service your rvs better. And I am going to see about a partial refund over these issues. Probably won't use cruise america rv's again. I will look into other rental places.

We rented the 30' RV for 2 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs. The rental process was a little bumpy because the RV they initially had prepared for us wasn't working - something about the gas valve. I'm glad they caught it before we left but I had to wait a little bit longer than I thought while they prepared another vehicle. It was clean, pretty easy to drive and overall saved us a ton of dough on hotels and eating out. The kids loved it. There was plenty of room. The drop off process was much easier. I'd definitely rent from here again.

I had a lot of reservations about all of the RV rental companies based on a lot of negative reviews across the board. I’m very pleased with cruise America. It was a simple process and pickup was fast and painless. We had one issue that I texted the help number for (very late at night) and had a very simple resolve in less than 10 minutes. When I had a question on how to work something in the RV, I texted the help number again and had a very detailed explanation and some troubleshooting ideas in case it didn’t work perfectly. The customer service was amazing. The RV was also clean. I would rent from them again.

Summary: When renting a five-year-old RV, reliable maintenance is crucial. Unfortunately, Cruise America falls short in this regard. Detailed Review: Let’s start with the positive. The motorhome took us to wherever we needed. The engine didn’t fail us and for that they get 3 stars. My problems began at pickup when the staff failed to start the generator. Despite initial attempts to brush off the issue, I insisted on seeing it work. It took 45 minutes and a technician replacing a dead battery to get it running. Without my insistence, I would have been stranded without power. There was also a gray water leakage, which I asked the technician to fix and he did. Upon entering the RV, we found it filthy. It took three of us over an hour to clean it to a usable state, including the refrigerator and floors. Our first stop was to buy supplies for the week, but the next day, in 108°F heat at Badlands, the refrigerator failed, spoiling $200 worth of food. This necessitated a trip to a service center, cutting our trip short. Our troubles didn’t end there. The first morning, we woke to a flooded floor due to a leaking toilet. Despite a repair attempt, the issue persisted, causing further inconvenience. From the beginning, a foul odor permeated the RV, worsening with heat. Customer service initially dismissed it as normal. Only after persistent calls did they approve a local technician, who found a missing seal in the toilet, a faulty alternator in the obsolete fridge, and other issues. The ongoing issues forced us to use campground facilities for showers and toilets. Additional problems included a non-functioning kitchen outlet, continuous tire pressure warnings, and ineffective windshield wipers. Despite being assured that the RV would be a 2019 or 2020 model, the myriad problems far exceeded what one would expect. Customer service was largely unhelpful, though they eventually approved a local technician who resolved all issues.
