BEWARE OF THIS OUTRAGEOUS COMPANY IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR HOLIDAYS TO BE WASTED!!! We had a horrendous experience with our rental. We've booked a one-way trip from Everett/Seattle to Mesa/Phoenix between 9/12/24 and 9/21/24. We flew in from Europe, on 9/12 we picked up a campervan, we took it on a ferry to Kingston shortly thereafter, then we stopped on a campsite nearby, only to realize the next day that the unit is infested by cockroaches (a few were running around the vehicle, later we found the whole nest). We have immediately contacted the travel assistance requesting a swap unit to be delivered to us, were told it's impossible and and were informed that we have to take the unit back to Everett the next morning for an inspection, as we would arrive out of the office hours. As we didn't want to sleep in an infested vehicle, we said to the travel assistance agent that if we can't get the unit replaced same day, we would have to stay in a hotel. They acknowledged that but said we should speak to the manager on duty in Everett the next morning. We spent 2 hours packing all our belongings and then drove back for 5 hours / 250 miles from Mora, WA where we were at that point, stayed in a hotel near Everett and came to the office the next morning. The technician we've met on site suggested they were aware of the infestation of this unit (quote: "it was sitting there for weeks with the roach traps") - despite that, we were told by the front desk staff that there is nothing they can do, the manager is not there so we will not get approval for any expenses, and that the only thing they can do if we're unhappy with the unit is an unauthorized drop-off ($3000 penalty) as we were meant to deliver it to Phoenix. They said we should contact travelers assistance for a swap unit and you customer relations for any refund claims. I have contacted the travellers assistance a few times over the course of the next 3 hours before we eventually got an approval for a swap unit. We received another van, which we were told is the only unit we can get. Its generator could only be operated from the outside as the inside switch is broken, and it's sewer pipe was leaking despite valves being closed, which made us leave a mess behind wherever we go. Also, at the time of the pickup it was disgustingly dirty inside, it had mold in the fridge, pubic hair in the toilet, there was something which looked like vomit on the bottom of the shower curtain, also there was a report in the vehicle, with the tech inspection signed by a technician but the cleaning not signed by anyone - which meant if wasn't cleaned at all. The front desk staff knew we were calling the travel assistance for a swap unit and were hardly busy with anything during that time, yet no one really cared about preparing the unit. When we reported that it's dirty, we were told that we will need to wait for an unspecified amount of time for someone to clean it up, so we decided to take it as-is. This experience was truly outrageous. We have lost 2 days on packing, unpacking and taking the first unit back and forth, and another day on catching up on the road, not to mention the stress, lost bookings on campsites, having to chase down the road to get to our destination on time... It was the most expensive yet most horrible vacation on our lives. The manager in Phoenix offered us some discount (yet incomparable to the money we've lost on all the expenses, not to mention wasted holidays). Customer relations later denied any further refund claims on the ground that we were offered a discount.

Staff were great and processed the rental so fast. We had a couple issues with the RV itself with the water pump not working a roof leak and a squeaky door but otherwise we had a blast!

If I where a us citizen I would have sued them for spoiling our trip through this magnificent country. Fridge not working like it should-only on LPG; water tanks both leaking. Toilet not functioning. Had to turn around the day after to get it fixed - lost one day of our precious little time. Fuel tank was nearly empty. Water line completely worn so always dripping when hooked up. AC died during the trip when it should run with the generator. Worked only when directly hooked up. When we got the RV it smelled of urine everywhere as if they “cleaned “ the toilet first and then with the same rug the rest. The fridge emanated a nauseous stench and was warm when we got the RV. We didn’t realize that at the moment because the person who gave us all the necessary instructions had a very prominent body odor that covered everything. The whole RV was in a pitiful state hygienically and technically speaking. Loose screws on the door frame. Half the power sockets didn’t work. The RV itself was a super old piece of scrap with 107000 miles on the odometer. The engine was running dry- had to put in nearly a gallon of fresh oil. The transmission was straining under the weight of that junk RV and the suspension non existent. The list is endless. Cruise America doesn’t check their RVs for security or anything. They just check your credit card. The fleet is completely outdated and definitely overpriced If you want your trip to be a success keep far away from Cruise America At the drop off location in Everett they were very comprehensive and arranged an immediate reimbursement for the hassle we had experienced

We did have a little issue with items being left in our rental. The staff at Everett took care of us and went out of their way to make it right. So refreshing to get great customer service. We are taking a road trip in January and will definately use them again. We have recommended Crusie America to all our friends and families.

The gals at the check-in desk were super helpful. I was flying into Everett - early for the pick-up and they accommodated us. We did the walk through and were on our way in 30 minutes. Unbelievable. We had a long drive up the Alaska Highway and then to Anchorage and the smaller unit (Compact Plus) was just right for the two of us and for our granddaughter when she visited for a few days. Vehicle was in excellent condition. Check-out in Anchorage was a breeze, too.
