Fantastic experience, even with arriving at close my transaction went smooth and perfect. At least 4 employees stayed late to complete our transaction, we had a 2 hour drive and everyone was accommodating. Our salesman Greg was great for the entire thing, most done on the phone. Would recommend and I drove two hours!
Went to campers inn to look at toy hauler and didn't like them so Greg showed me some full size ones and we loved the way the embrace was set up and got it the same day and had issue with camper and the service department took care of it and picked up a couple days later. All the staff went out there way to help us and Chris wlaked us through everything and answered all my questions. Will recommend campers inn to anyone. Great place and exceptional staff
We would highly recommend Campers Inn in Kings Mountain, NC, specifically our salesman, Anthony “Tony” Sconzo. To set the record straight, we live over 3 hours away. We reached out to Tony about a travel trailer we found on their website. From start to finish, we received the utmost priority, and after a quick phone call, Tony followed up with us with an online video with a personalized walk-through of the camper (directly to us, not a generic video for anyone) to show us the ins and outs of it. With the option to “hold” until our work schedule allowed us to get there. While we had an issue with our sway bar, we reached out to Tony to see if we could get one installed when we came in. He immediately worked with the service department to give me a quote and get me on the schedule. He also worked with the service department to get the camper fully inspected for any issues to make sure everything was ready for our arrival. For the day of pickup, upon arrival, they had our travel trailer opened up for us to do our walk-through and inspection of the unit. Also, they had, I believe, his name was Jose. He walked me through everything on the camper and showed that everything was working on the camper and allowed me time to ask questions as this is new to us.
I purchased a new fifth wheel from a different Campers Inn in late 2024 and was told warranty service could be handled at any location. I chose the Kings Mountain location due to proximity and regret that decision. I brought the camper in for a warranty-approved leveling system repair that already had Grand Design authorization and a case number. Despite this, the camper sat at the facility for nearly two months for what turned out to be a very minor repair. Communication was extremely poor, phone calls were never returned, updates only came via text after weeks of silence, and I was repeatedly told parts were being ordered when they had not been. I ultimately had to contact Grand Design myself to confirm that no parts had been ordered at all after it sat for 6 weeks in their lot. Staff repeatedly blamed delays on other Campers Inn locations and the fact that Kings Mountain is not a Grand Design dealer. Another time they blamed internet outages. These internal issues should not become the customer’s problem. I would not recommend this location for warranty or service work. The lack of transparency and follow-through was unacceptable.
