The personnel are friendly and willing to help. I bought a camper from them and received 7 Days on their over 250 acre private campsite. Since it's January they gave us the option to leave the camper for the winter and return in May to pick it up un-winterize it and do the full walk through. That way if there were any problems everything could be fixed on-site. I would definitely recommend them as their prices were below other vendors we looked at.
Retro is a poor design and worst craftsmanship. We bought a 2021 retro 166. It was in the shop more than we had it. Wheel wells not sealed could see into the camper from outside. Bladder under neither holds water. When we took in to be fixed they just put holes in it to drain the water. Fresh water tank never used leaked the first time we filled it. Outlet under mattress. Took in to be sealed was told it was and still leaked. Table hook on wall is cheap. They just kept taking it in and not fixing the problems until the warranty ran out. Now we are stuck with a leaking tank and rotting floor. DO NOT BUY.
The only good thing about our buying experience was the price. There is no customer service. I emailed and called several times after we signed for the camper and it took 3 weeks before we finally picked it up. We still can’t figure out how to use the camera on the back of the camper. I did email a few more times and left 3 messages. I never heard back from them. We found 3 issues on the outside of the camper that had been repaired. Shocker, they never mentioned those repairs!! They were supposed to go over everything and make sure there were no leaks and told us they did. That was a lie. Our first trip was a disaster with all the leaks. Thank goodness we had good camping neighborhoods with knowledge on new campers. There were 3 gaskets missing that we had to replace then all the clean up after. Very disappointed and will never go back to them for anything. I have since found a great reputable service place to call if we need help again.
I purchased a travel trailer here and was promised they would bring it to the campground that I had a lot at. (Less than 5 miles away) That never happened so I had to make arrangements for my trade in and new camper to be transported to/from them. 1st lie. I purchased an extended warranty and because, again I was only 5 miles away, they said if anything needs repaired, no worry we can come out. 2nd lie! I noticed right away the outdoor kitchen door was not opening and closing properly. I called and they said I would need to bring it back because they don’t have mobile mechanics. They asked me to send pictures since I couldn’t bring it to them. I did and the service tech said it was most likely because the camper wasn’t level. 3rd lie!! Found out by having a camping neighbor take a look that the frame was not screwed in properly and was easily fixed. A few weeks later the microwave stopped working, again they wanted me to bring the camper in because no body was available to come take a look. I removed to microwave myself and brought to them. Took 4 weeks to get it replaced under warranty. Then the second microwave stopped working after 3 days. Again I brought it back to them because they were understaffed and couldn’t have someone come 5 miles down the road to come get it. They also said I must have a short because they never had to warranty out 2 microwaves in that short period of a time. 4th lie!!! Oh yes, would have to bring it in for them to check it out. I had our campground manager check out the electric and found no issue. 3rd microwave works and still works with no issue. Noticed water leaking from shower, and of course nobody available to come see what the issue is. 5th lie!!!! They said because again… guess what??? Not being level. They never came out ever so how could they even think that… must be the only excuse they can come up with. Again would have to bring it in. I asked at that point to cancel my extended warranty. They said I would have to do that with the warranty company. 6th lie!!!!! The warranty company said the selling dealer handles all cancellations. I made the request in early May this year. The warranty company said I should see the reimbursement with 7-10 business days. I called the dealer today June and asked the status of my refund and they said the warranty company has not processed it yet. 7th Lie!!!!!! I called the warranty company again and they said they haven’t received any cancellation request from the dealer. I called back Camp Life RV and they said they would make sure it was filled out immediately. 8th lie!!!!! I called back in July and asked again the status of my my refund and they assured me it was processed and still waiting for warranty company to pay their percentage. I called the warranty company and they said their percentage was sent to the delete on July 10th. I called back the dealer and they refused to put me on with their accounting department. It’s now October 21st and still no extended warranty refund. This place is so unprofessional. They promise everything to get a sale and provide no after the sale support. They have no business being in business. Not sure how else to proceed but I’m owed a prorated amount for extended warranty. Not sure if I have to get an attorney involved, but want to make sure that any potential buyers to be aware and not do business with them.
Had a great experience purchased a Retro 185. Up front fair pricing. No surprise fees or high pressure sales. Lots of inventory. A big thank you to Jim and his staff for prepping the unit and all of the help getting me in and out with our new camper.

Buying an RV is a big decision. Use this guide to shop Camp Life RV's inventory with confidence.
Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any Camp Life RV listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type
Travel trailers and fifth wheels need a capable tow vehicle. Class B and C motorhomes offer an easier entry point. Class A motorhomes give the most space. Ask the team at Camp Life RV which type fits your camping style.
Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask Camp Life RV for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
RV loans are specialized. Knowing the basics helps you get the best deal when financing through Camp Life RV in New London, Ohio.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years is typical for larger RVs. Shorter-term loans save on total interest.
Down Payment
10% to 20% is typical. A larger down payment reduces monthly costs and total interest paid.
