As you probably noticed, our name is a little different and so are we! Blue Dog RV was started by several families moving from all over the Northwest and we're now owned by Blue Compass RV. We came together to form a new and different RV dealership to serve the Northern Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, and Nevada area. We wanted to take what we learned at very good dealers combined with our shared vision of customer service for RV sales and service up to a level that people have never experienced. Plan to be pleasantly surprised with our amazing service!

We bought a brand new Grand Design 5 th wheel. It has electrical problems and we bought it in July 2025 and have not got to use it. They had it for 2 months picked it up still have the same issues. Trying to cancel extended service warranty and they didn't even follow through 2 months later. Called granddesign and the same. Don't buy from Blue compass you will regret it
I want to warn every prospective buyer about this dealership. It’s too bad there’s not an option to give 0 stars honestly. A few weeks ago we inquired about a trailer and Brooke reached out to us via text. Unfortunately the trailer we were interested in had sold, but she found another in Mesa, AZ that could be transported. She worked with Cody (West Coast VP) to get us a deal & we were told by Cody that the unit would be transported to Vegas on 1/30. That Friday rolls around and nobody has any idea where the trailer is - and Mindy, the Head of Transport is conveniently on a flight and unable to get an update. 1/31 I get a call from Cody that the trailer never left Mesa like it was supposed to, and that it would be instead departing 2/1. Mindy called shortly after to tell me that someone had messed up and the trailer was scheduled to be sent to California, but assured me she fixed it and rerouted to Vegas for 2/1 delivery. To no surprise, the unit did NOT get delivered 2/1 as promised, it came in 2/2. Wednesday 2/4 my fiance and I went to the dealership to see the unit in person, and let me just say, the photos from the AZ dealership made it look 100x better than in person. It wreaked of urine, trim was breaking off, the stove burner was broken and missing a knob and the door to the bedroom had a broken track. Brooke brought over Scott, the GM, who told us that all of it would be fixed and it would be ready to go Monday 2/9. You guessed it….fast forward a few days to Saturday 2/7. I get a call from Scott letting me know that the techs didn’t finish the inspection until right before he called (mind you, Cody had told me it takes 5-6 hours for an inspection and it had been in the shop 3 days at this point), and there were multiple parts that needed to be ordered, so the trailer would not be ready to go on Monday. He had told me over the phone that he had given them verbal authorization to order said parts and confirmed that a Thursday 2/12 3pm pick up was a hard deadline. In that same phone call, he let me know that his parts manager would be back in on Monday, and although he (Scott) was out of office Monday, he would call me on Tuesday 2/10 with an update. Yesterday, I did not hear from him all day, so around 6pm I called the store to see what was going on. A female answered the phone and let me know that Scott had left for the day and was headed to Texas for training, but said that Jeremy would call me first thing in the morning today (Wednesday). The store opened at 9am, and by 11:30ish I still had not heard from Jeremy. I called the store and was told that he was in a meeting with service and would call me back. When Jeremy called me back, he proceeded to let me know that the unit still smelled like urine, despite having gone through detail, and he wanted to send it through detail again. He also let me know that the slide seal that was ordered/sent was incorrect and may not arrive until tomorrow 2/13 between 12-1pm. In that same phone call I was basically told that if the part doesn’t show up on time we’re out of luck and can’t pick up at 3pm. I requested my $1000 deposit be refunded immediately (still have yet to see receipt of that as requested), and told Jeremy we were not going through with the deal. This is a huge warning to anyone interested in Blue Compass that the Vegas store/Cody/Mindy are horrendous at communication. Nobody is on the same page, and they’re pros at over promising and under delivering. Out of all of this nonsense, I feel bad for Brooke, who is new to their team and just wanted a deal on the board. Thanks to the god awful communication and broken promises, she won’t be getting that deal on the board as hoped. There’s honestly not enough words to express the anger and frustration I have for this company. My hope is that not all Blue Compass locations are this much of a disaster, but it’s pretty apparent that the West Coast stores need significant training.
I am writing this to warn every potential buyer to stay far away from this dealership. I purchased a trailer here nearly five months ago, paid it off in full shortly thereafter, and I still do not have the title. This is not just a "paperwork delay"—it is gross negligence and fraudulent business conduct. They sold me a trailer which they did not and still do not have the title for. This dealership has my money, yet I am stuck with a unit I cannot legally register, plate, or tow. For months, I have been subjected to an exhausting and deceptive runaround: Blatant Dishonesty: I have left several messages for multiple managers who simply refuse to call back. When I finally do get them on the phone after repeated attempts, they have the audacity to claim "they never got my calls." This is a transparent lie used to dodge accountability and ignore the problem. Hostile Management: On the rare occasions I do get someone on the line, the managers are consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Shout out to Scott, the general manager, for being the worst and most ineffective encounter yet. Absolutely zero customer sevice skills or inclination to make things right. I've asked for my money back and offered to return the trailer to a local sister dealership, and their response is "we don't do refunds." But they will sell you property they don't own and make it your problem. They treat me like an inconvenience for inquiring about the legal documentation that I paid for months ago. Zero Resolution: Every promise to "look into it" or "call back by end of day" has been a lie. I've gone in circles with three different managers. No one takes responsibility, and there is a total lack of accountability and transparency regarding where my title is or why it hasn’t been processed. Once this dealership has your money, they have zero interest in fulfilling their legal obligations or treating customers with respect. They are comfortable leaving customers in legal limbo with unregistered trailers. DO NOT BUY HERE. If you value your money and your sanity, take your business elsewhere. They will take your money, ignore your calls, and leave you stranded.
Every Blue Compass I have interacted with has been one and the same as far as excellent customer service, very attentive, very professional, and very organized. Stopped into Blue Compass in Vegas today needing a part for my water system on my motorhome. Before we could finish parking we had a salesman and a service technician out to help! The service technician, Joe, was so kind and helped us fix our problem and get on the road. Amazing service and care! Thank you!
The level of customer service was royal the day I picked up my new trailer and dropped off my trade in. Lilly in particular was amazing she is a true asset and integral part of your team. Your service team and walk thru team we positively through and left me without question. Thank you from this disabled veteran I will refer you to every disabled/retired veteran I know.

Set your budget first
RV prices range from under $10,000 for used travel trailers to $300,000+ for Class A diesel pushers. Know your number before you browse. Use SearchShop's payment estimator on any Blue Dog RV of Las Vegas listing to model monthly costs.
Pick the right RV type

Inspect these on every unit
Check the roof for cracks or soft spots (signs of water damage). Open every slideout and look for seal wear. Run all appliances. Test the generator, AC, and water heater. Check the underbelly for rust or damage.
Know the weight ratings
Every RV has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). Overloading causes tire blowouts and frame damage. Compare the GVWR against your intended load before committing.
Review service records
Ask Blue Dog RV of Las Vegas for any available service history. Regular maintenance records — oil changes, roof resealing, slide service — signal a well-cared-for unit.
