As you probably noticed, our name is a little different and so are we! Blue Dog RV was started by several families moving from all over the Northwest and we're now owned by Blue Compass RV. We came together to form a new and different RV dealership to serve the Northern Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, and Nevada area. We wanted to take what we learned at very good dealers combined with our shared vision of customer service for RV sales and service up to a level that people have never experienced. I recently purchased an RV through Joel at Blue Compass, and I can honestly say it was one of the best buying experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived at the dealership, Joel went above and beyond to make the entire process smooth, stress-free, and genuinely enjoyable. His honesty and transparency were refreshing; he pointed out features, benefits, and even small details I wouldn’t have noticed on my own. Throughout the process, Joel kept me informed at every step, answered all of my questions promptly (and I had plenty!), and made sure I felt confident and excited about my decision. When it came time for the RV walkthrough, he was incredibly patient and thorough, explaining each component clearly and making sure I was comfortable before leaving the lot. Because of him, what could have been overwhelming ended up being a fun, seamless, and memorable experience. BUYER BEWARE — WORST RV PURCHASE EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE. Blue Compass sold us what can only be described as a lemon RV. We purchased this RV in late November 2025, and it has already spent over a month in their service department due to multiple manufacturer defects that should have never been present in a so-called new unit. We are making payments on an RV we cannot use, thanks to Blue Compass’s complete failure to deliver a quality product. Once the sale was complete, the customer service completely fell apart. Joel, the sales associate, was friendly and responsive until the paperwork was signed—after that, accountability disappeared. On the service side, dealing with Omar has been just as frustrating. Communication is horrendous: calls go unanswered, updates are not provided, and we are left constantly chasing information with no clear timelines or ownership of the problem. This dealership has shown zero urgency, zero transparency, and zero concern for the customer. Selling a defective RV and then keeping it in service for over a month shortly after purchase raises serious questions about quality control and consumer protections. At this point, we are actively reviewing our options, including lemon law remedies, because this situation is completely unacceptable. If you are considering purchasing an RV from Blue Compass, understand the risk: you may be left with defects, delays, excuses, and a dealership that does not stand behind what they sell. We deeply regret trusting Blue Compass with such a major purchase.
