Camco Rhino Portable Holding Tank, 28-gallon
The Camco Rhino Portable Holding Tank, specifically the 28-gallon model, is a comprehensive and durable solution for managing RV waste. This heavy-duty tote tank is designed for optimal portability and ease of use, allowing users to efficiently fill, empty, clean, store, and tow waste to a dump station. Constructed from extremely durable, blow-molded, UV-stabilized High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), the tank is built to last, resisting leaks and deterioration from environmental exposure like weather and sun. The tank features large, no-flat wheels equipped with bearings, ensuring smooth and effortless transportation. A removable steel tow adapter facilitates easy movement, allowing the tank to be rolled much like luggage. The design includes a low drain hole (specifically for the 28 and 36-gallon models) to ensure complete emptying of waste. Its smooth interior, combined with an integrated tank rinser, makes cleaning straightforward. For storage convenience, an integrated ladder hook allows it to be hung on an RV ladder when not in use, and grooves on the tank body provide secure points for strapping. The product comes with a two-year warranty. The ready-to-use kit includes everything needed for waste transfer and maintenance: the Rhino Tote Tank itself, featuring a large durable handle, oversized wheels, tank rinser, and ladder hook; a 15-inch female-to-female orange Rhino greywater hose; a 3-foot RhinoExtreme sewer hose complete with swiveling bayonet and lug fittings; a clear double bayonet elbow; a clear bayonet elbow with a removable 4-in-1 adapter; bayonet and lug storage caps for the hose; a steel tow adapter; and various caps with lanyards. Searchshop Shopping Guide
- **Check Capacity and Size:** Ensure the 28-gallon capacity meets your needs and that the tank's dimensions allow for easy storage and maneuverability in your RV or vehicle.
- **Consider Accessories:** Look for models that come with essential accessories like a sewer hose, clear elbow, hose adapter, and a cap, or factor these into your budget.
- **Wheel and Handle Quality:** For portable tanks, robust wheels and a sturdy, comfortable handle are crucial for easy transport, especially when the tank is full.
- **Dumping Method:** Understand how the tank empties (gravity drain vs. integrated pump). Gravity drain is simpler, but a pump allows for easier emptying into taller sewer connections.
