Buying a motorcycle from Mega Power Sports, Inc. in Gaylord, Michigan? Follow this checklist before you commit.
Verify the title and VIN
Check the VIN on the frame, engine, and title to confirm they match. Run the VIN through a motorcycle history report. Mega Power Sports, Inc. should be able to provide documentation for any bike in their inventory.
Check the fork seals and bearings
Look for oil weeping down the fork tubes — a sign the seals need replacement. Grab the front wheel and push/pull firmly to check for play in the steering head bearings.
Inspect the chain and sprockets
A worn chain will have excess slack and the sprocket teeth will look hooked or pointed instead of rounded. Chain and sprocket replacement runs $200–$500. Factor that into your offer if it's needed.
Check tire age and tread depth
Look for the DOT date code on the sidewall — tires over five years old should be replaced regardless of tread. Tires are a safety item, not a cosmetic one.
Take a test ride
Confirm the clutch engages smoothly, the brakes feel firm, and the bike tracks straight at speed. Listen for valve noise, exhaust leaks, or electrical issues. A short test ride catches problems a visual inspection misses.

Had one of the best buying experiences here. Great trade in value and excellent pricing on the new boat. Process was fast smooth and easy. I would recommend this dealer and we will do business here again. Thank to the staff at Mega for making this purchase so enjoyable.
I've bought 2 atvs from them and they were pretty fair about both deals. They threw in add ons on the second atv. They don't really haggle and are pretty nice people. The owner did get snippy and a little rude with my father-in-law one time over asking if they could work out a price on an atv, but that was close to 10 years ago. I guess the owner was upset because they had a no haggle price posted that my father-in-law didnt see. It was an honest mistake. I felt both atvs were already priced fair. I went with this dealership because they let me test drive what they had. The dealership next door refused to let me test drive anything other than their yamaha kodiak 450, when I wanted the grizzly 700.
We purchased a 2026 Kawasaki Mule the end of August. We had a hitch and windshield added and installed. We were able to pick it up on September 4th. Ed was professional and a fantastic Salesperson. No pressure and explained the details of the machine. Adam was professional and handled all of the paperwork efficiently. I would highly recommend Mega Sports for your special purchases.
Came to Gaylord to snowmobile for the weekend and the first day my primary clutch went out. Called Mega and they got me in same day and I was back on the trail within 2 hours. Couldn't be more pleased with my experience.
