The fit and finish is second to none. The hull is totally foam filled, the ride quality is really good and everything from the prop to the tabs were dialed in with race car detail I compared it to Scout, Tidewater and Sea Hunt and found out that the Pioneer is a much better built boat.
best boat I have ever owned other than the two stroke motor
I love it is a pontoon. I love the flooring. I love I had the option for a changing privacy tent. I love I could have sea legs installed. I do not like that the throttle is all over the place so I have to have my hand on it at all times or it will simply let the boat roll to a stop. I do not like it doesn’t come with bough sun cover(s) for a day on the lake.
I wish it had a quieter motor. Boat has a 150hp Mercury 4 stroke and it is quite loud. I was comparing to Alumacraft, Crestliner, and Tracker. The thing I liked most the boat was value and made in Minnesota.
A few build quality issues, delamination on the hull deck joint. T top roof pools water,
Comfortable and safe ride in most sea states
Trailer is garbage. Had to spend thousands to bring it up to par. Love the boat but the gel coat is very thin and fragile. Trolling motor bracket was useless; broke on first trip.
nothing in particular. cant think of anything.
I like the boat ride as it is a dry ride in rougher water, The boat is an okay value it is built more as an entry level tournament walleye rig so some components in the boat are made cheaper than competitor boats to keep cost down. I wish they made a longer version as with the STX 2050 it is 20' 10" and many of the competitors are not making boats closer to 22' 10". For guys like me who fish large bodies of water, the length would matter. As for one thing missing, I have learned that the lower transom can be an issue in following seas as water typically comes in the splash well and with the access panels there for pump access it can quickly fill the bilge. As for other boats I was comparing to, it would be the Ranger 621 and the Warrior V208 and Yarcraft 219 and Skeeter WX2200
