Very professional. Bought a new Yamaha9.9 kicker motor for my 1979 19 foot Boston Whaler outrage. I paid they loaded the motor in the back of my truck and I was in and out of there in 30 minutes. Had a bad experience getting my boat fixed this last time. Anyone having your boat serviced here needs to carefully inspect your boat before leaving!! We have a 1987 Hobie Power Skiff that we got repowered with Windward Boats back in 2018. A few years ago had to replace the cable steering which went fine. This past November 2024 we had the steering helm replaced again due to rust. We figured they’ve already done the same job twice, there should be no issue. While the helm was replaced, the cable shelve wasn’t properly tightened and when remounting the motor to the transom one of the mounting bolts was over tightened and cracked the transom, breaking through the fiberglass. Rather than alert me to the issue, Windward Boats made no mention of the issue or even offered alternatives for a crack in the transom upon pick up. I only discovered the issue when I got home. When I called to complain, all I got was “sorry.” I get that jobs can go sideways and damage can happen especially with older boats, but not alerting paying customers to a new crack in a boat is pretty bad. It seems to me Windward Boats is more concerned about their financial liability and not customer safety. We came to Windward Boats expecting a certain level of expertise, quality, and trustworthiness but left feeling taken advantage of and having another problem to fix. I definitely feel I can’t trust their service department after this incident.
