Worked with Ben over an 8 month period to purchase an Ri230. It was very much a no pressure sale/process which I really appreciated. We initially demoed the boat in September and purchased the following May. It was a pleasant process the whole way through. Communication was excellent. The staff is very knowledgeable. They took the time to ensure I understood all of the features on the boat. They have remained very responsive and helpful with questions/minor issues that have come up since the purchase. Vinny is also fantastic in the service department (didn’t take us long to get to the 20 hour break in service).
We truly can’t say enough good things about The Boat Shop and especially our experience with Ben (pictured). We started looking at a boat he had back in September, and eventually took the same boat home in May. He kept in touch with us over the course of those 8 months, letting us know the boat was still there but wasn’t pushy at all. Even though this wasn’t a huge sell for him, he made it a priority to keep in touch. A few weeks ago we were ready to pull the trigger and he happened to still have our favorite boat. He provided a fair negotiation, was willing to fix a few things the boat needed, and he drove over an hour to deliver the boat to us on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend at 6am. His whole shop was a pleasure to work with, and we appreciated Shelly’s knowledge on a Malibu boat in a non Malibu shop. Ben and his team did a great job on my boat and installed some awesome led lights, see pic. I had a glitch after getting my boat. Put it in the water and after two minutes the engine overheated. I called the shop and they were closed so I left a message with little hope I would get a response. After about 5 minutes Josh returned my call and I explained my problem. He met me back at the boat shop right away and stayed to get the problem resolved so I could get the boat back in the water for the weekend. Turns out it was a defective part and Ben, Josh and the team took care of me without hesitation. That kind of service has made me a loyal customer and I will always return for my services and needs.
