We had a great experience with the Lauderdale Lakes team. Brandon and Joe were really helpful and responsive throughout the buying process, both with our trade-in and with the new boat purchase. They also helped us get a new lift installed, bringing in their team when another lift company was having issues scheduling the install. The lift team was very professional and made sure the install was done right. Great customer service all around.
⸻ Five-Star Experience at The Boat House! I recently had an outstanding experience at The Boat House, and I can’t say enough good things about the entire team. From the moment I walked in, Jamie in sales made the boat-buying process smooth, transparent, and enjoyable. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me find exactly what I was looking for with no pressure—just great service and solid advice. After the purchase, I was equally impressed by the support I received for my 20-hour maintenance. Hailey in the service department was incredibly professional and efficient. She made scheduling easy and ensured everything was taken care of quickly and thoroughly. A special shoutout to Joe, the General Manager, for overseeing everything so seamlessly. Thanks to the whole team’s effort, my boat was repaired and ready in time before I had to leave the country. That kind of service, urgency, and attention to detail is rare and truly appreciated. If you’re looking for a great place to buy a boat with top-tier customer service, I highly recommend The Boat House
I had an exceptionally disappointing experience with the Boathouse, by far the worst consumer encounter I have ever had. Firstly, I placed a deposit on a boat I found online. Upon arriving, I discovered a trailer with damage in three spots, a detail conveniently omitted from their website. The response I received from the staff was, and I quote, "I didn't think of it; most of our customers are not trailering." Additionally, the stereo system was a mess, with wires and harnesses hanging out like they had dismantled it just before my arrival. The sole positive aspect of the transaction was the promptness of the refund process. Secondly, another representative contacted me to "rectify the situation" by offering an alternative boat, which I liked and gave them another chance. After a prolonged and frustrating period of believing the boat was secured for me, I received a call informing me that the boat had been sold to someone else. This was not an attempt to "rectify the situation" but rather a bait-and-switch, the boat was sold out from under me. In total, this entire process dragged on for six weeks, leaving me without a boat and thoroughly dissatisfied with the Boathouse. This first boat was just relisted on their website, still omitting the trailer damage pictures. I included them with my review.
Terrible service. Began with parts installed that were incorrect and I stated before leaving the dealer please let me know what you install before doing so. They never did that. On to the worst part…. Went to pick up my $100k boat and found they had to drain water from it for over 15 mins because they lost my cover and let it sit for weeks outside Uncovered. UNREAL. The boat was trashed on the interior with standing water. Press on any of the seats and loads of water would come out. Guaranteed there is permanent damage to my seats/ interior. They had more than a dozen $100k+ boats in their lot ALL covered. I delivered my boat to them not only covered but clean and dry. I would give 0/5 stars if that was an option. First and last time using this dealer. Edit: they supposedly cleaned the boat and dried it out. The photo and video added was how it was returned to us. They would not drop off the boat because I wouldn’t remove my honest review. Also I put a photo and video of how it was when I first tried to pick up the boat.
It’s that time of year again and looking forward to splashing my GS24 with the help of Stephen Quick from The Boathouse! This is my second Nautique (from The Boathouse) and have had Mastercraft and Malibu but my favorite by far- Steve ensures I get all the proper service and keeps in touch with me all year- including spring and winter cycles, the right relationships make all the difference!

Buying a boat from The Boat House of Lauderdale Lakes in Elkhorn, Wisconsin? Use this guide to evaluate any listing before you commit.
Match the boat to your waters
Pontoons and deck boats suit calm lakes. Deep-V hulls handle chop on larger lakes and coastal water. Center consoles are versatile for fishing. Ask The Boat House of Lauderdale Lakes which models suit the waterways near Elkhorn, Wisconsin.
Inspect the hull carefully
Look for stress cracks, blistering, or repairs on fiberglass hulls. Check the transom for soft spots by pressing firmly — a solid transom feels rigid. Osmotic blistering costs thousands to repair.
Check engine hours
Inboard and outboard engines are typically rated to 1,500–3,000 hours. Low-hour engines with service records are worth more. Ask to see oil change and winterization records for any boat at The Boat House of Lauderdale Lakes.
Request a sea trial
Test the boat on the water before buying. Run it at full throttle. Listen for unusual noises. Check that the throttle and steering respond smoothly. Reputable dealers like The Boat House of Lauderdale Lakes will accommodate this request.
Verify title and registration
Ask for the current title and confirm the hull identification number (HIN) matches. Check for any liens with your state boating agency. The Boat House of Lauderdale Lakes should be able to walk you through the paperwork.
