Store had a nice appearance. Nice boats inside. Best of luck getting anyone to respond or do what they say they will do. I emailed Saturday evening. Called and left a vm Sunday (admittedly they are closed on Sunday, just assumed someone would call me back Monday morning). When they didn't call Monday morning, I called again. Got a hold of and talked to Mike. Went to see the boat I was interested in as soon as I got off the phone with him. I liked it when I seen it in person and literally said "hey, if you can take my boat as a downpayment, I'll buy this today". Was told he would see what he could do and would get back to me asap. Which is fair, just requested they let me know one way or another, no big deal if they weren't interested in taking my boat. Well, he never got back to me. Called the next day, got his vm and left a message. No reply. Called again, got him on the phone and was assured he would get me an answer, or at the very least, would call me before they closed for the day. Well, again, didn't happen. Called twice the next day, left another message with his associate Austin. Just like Mike, he assured me he'd get the message to him and I'd get a phone call. Imagine this, they once again lied. Truthfully, this place is absolute trash about not following through with what they say. Guess my business isn't important to them. I am in the Army, stationed at Selfridge Air Force Base, right beside them. So when I went there during my lunch break, I was thanked for my service by multiple of their staff (and I do appreciate the sentiment), but how are you going to thank me for my service and then outright disrespect me by blowing me off multiple times? How about doing what we say we are going to do, guys? Not hard. If you don't have time for the customer, you don't deserve the business. Now instead of getting a $32,000 sale from me, I'm just going to review blast you guys everywhere I can until someone has the courtesy do what you guys said you'd do and call me.
This place is a joke. And scammers. I have been trying to buy a boat from them for 2 weeks now and they are no help. Every time I ask them to give me the jd power value of the boat they say tomorrow and never call me back or email. I even told them to give a Sam’s survey and got nothing. They are asking 36k for a boat which isnt worth any more then 25k. The account manager named Austin has been horrible.
My wife and I were recently looking for a 24 to 26 ft bowrider, and two personal friends of ours recommended that we go and see Rob McCarthy at SkipperBuds to assist us in the purchase. Recently bought a Regal 28 Express through SkipperBud's at Belle Maer Harbor and had it shipped from their facilities to Ontario. With the border being closed due to the pandemic, we were unsure how this would work but with the help of Rob McCarthy, it went smoothly. Mr. McCarthy helped us through the whole process - sale, survey, and shipping with constant phone calls, texts, emails, photos and videos as we could not be there. Top notch service from the staff throughout, and I would not hesitate to use SkipperBud's or recommend them to others in the future.
Do not waste your time here. There are plenty of dealers who actually want to make a sale with better products. Honorable mention to Mike, who failed the hardest at basic communication skills and honesty.
