A disappointing experience at Saltwater Marine on servicing our 21 ft boat which was brought in on Aug.5 and was there for over 3 weeks. Unfortunately, the service was not done nor completed. This is after being told that the boat was ready for pick up and all the job was done. When we parked the boat back in the driveway, oil was noticed leaking from the rear of the boat and two screws on the motor were found loose not tightened at all. When we picked up the boat; we were told that all service was done. But it was NOT! The boat smelt like gas also. After we went to talk to the owner Joel Roning. He said that "there was a misunderstanding" on the work that was needed to be done and failing to follow up with us. After paying over $3,000 the work was not done as told. A check on the repairs should have been done before returning the boat which possibly could have endangered lives on the boat that was not serviced completely and correctly. Quality control was definitely lacking. We cannot recommend this place at all!
Absolutely amazing in every category! Staff is great, Derek & our techs DR & JD are the best! They were able to quickly determine issues with our 1997 Key West boat, provide resolutions & quotes in a timely & thorough manner. Everything they have done for us so far: new bilge pump, remove polling platform, new steering cable & helm, fiberglass repair, & bottom painting, & everything was completed timely & perfectly!! These guys actually know what they’re doing & it’s obvious! Highly recommend Salt Water if you’re needing reliable, thorough work & intelligent boat techs!! They will be the ONLY place we service our boat & trailer :) thank you Salt Water!
