Buying a boat from PTG Outdoors - Grenada in Grenada, Mississippi? Use this guide to evaluate any listing before you commit.
Match the boat to your waters
Pontoons and deck boats suit calm lakes. Deep-V hulls handle chop on larger lakes and coastal water. Center consoles are versatile for fishing. Ask PTG Outdoors - Grenada which models suit the waterways near Grenada, Mississippi.
Inspect the hull carefully
Look for stress cracks, blistering, or repairs on fiberglass hulls. Check the transom for soft spots by pressing firmly — a solid transom feels rigid. Osmotic blistering costs thousands to repair.
Check engine hours
Inboard and outboard engines are typically rated to 1,500–3,000 hours. Low-hour engines with service records are worth more. Ask to see oil change and winterization records for any boat at PTG Outdoors - Grenada.
Request a sea trial
Test the boat on the water before buying. Run it at full throttle. Listen for unusual noises. Check that the throttle and steering respond smoothly. Reputable dealers like PTG Outdoors - Grenada will accommodate this request.
Verify title and registration
Ask for the current title and confirm the hull identification number (HIN) matches. Check for any liens with your state boating agency. PTG Outdoors - Grenada should be able to walk you through the paperwork.
Marine financing has unique terms. Here is what to know before financing a boat through PTG Outdoors - Grenada in Grenada, Mississippi.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years for larger boats. Smaller boats are typically financed over 5 to 10 years.

Have had great experiences here. Most recently I pulled up just after closing time needing a new boat battery. They were very helpful and got my boat ready for the water in just a few minutes. Highly recommended.
Good Christian family. Love these sweet people and wonderful stuff at this place. Get all my crappie supplies here. Update : I have been using PTG for a while now. Just got my boat set up with lights, Garmin and Hummingbird and even an awesome stereo. Thanks to all of you. Will post photos later.
Great selection of crappie jigs, rods, and just about anything you might want for crappie fishing. Bought the 8ft ACC crossover from here(it's the first place I have ever seen with them in stock). Will return every time I come to town because it's really the best selection of jigs and crappie gear I've ever seen in one shop
The store is very clean and well cared for. The prices on fishing equipment and supplies are extremely good prices. I will buy everything from here from now on. A very friendly atmosphere. And the people are helpful.
Will not stand behind there products they sell! Would not exchange a one day old rod that broke day after purchase
