In June of 1965 an abandoned fish cannery on the South Portland shore of the Fore River was converted into a small marina. By the winter of 1974 the marina had only experienced limited growth, provided few services and had less than 20 usable boat slips.
Got back into boating this summer and had the good fortune of doing business with Port Harbor Marine. Found the perfect boat, they got me an amazing slip at Breakwater Marina, and the service has been remarkable. What impressed me most was the end of season process. On the day my boat was scheduled to be hauled out I received a call from Gerald the Yamaha Technician. This guy did what I thought was a thing of the past but not so. He communicated and took ownership of the work he performed and explained everything in detail. In addition he explained that he was assigned to my boat for its life at the marina and to contact him anytime with any questions or concerns. Now that’s going above and beyond in my book for sure, great work Gerald and thank you.
Just picked up my boat from Port Harbor Marine in S. Portland after having it there all winter for warranty work. To say my experience was good is an understatement. From our initial communication last fall until now, the entire service team was exceptional in everything they accomplished for me. Fiberglass, electronics, and other general repairs was all done to the highest quality. Jim and Jen in the service office are outstanding customer facing representatives of this company putting customer concerns first and truly understanding warranty processes ensuring accountability from the manufacturer and quality with service delivery. Verols fiberglass expertise was far superior to anything else I have seen before. He walked the entire boat with me and took the time to really understand what needed to be done. Kelly who was in constant contact with me and even came in on his off day to hand the boat off to me showed pride and ownership in all of what he did and left me feeling completely taken care of. Awesome experience with this team.
I recently worked with Port Harbor Marine, top notch boat dealer and a great group of people to work with. Everyone I encountered was friendly. I worked directed with Ben and Mike in Sales, both were easy to work with and answered any questions I had. They didn’t just finish the sale and wash their hands of it. They made sure I was taken care of all the way up until transport as the boat was making a cross country trip. Even another salesman Tom helped out as much as he could.
