I have consistently had good experience with Oak Hill Marina. Yesterday, when our boat wouldn’t start on the lake, I gave them a call. Jason and Corey had me bring it in, quickly diagnosed the issue, and found the starter needed to be replaced. They got us right in, replaced it, and had us back on the water in just 45 minutes. Their customer service was excellent—friendly, efficient, and professional. They’ve also done some additional repairs and improvements for us this year, and the boat is running better than ever. I really appreciate how responsive and knowledgeable the team is. Oak Hill Marina keeps us on the water, and we couldn’t be happier with their service!
It can be tough picking a marina online! Reviews of OHM were similar to the other marinas with one exception- their responses. They have their share of disappointed customers, but they were the only marina that responded in a respectable manner, so that’s who I chose, and it was one of my better decisions! The reservation system was comprehensive and easy to use leaving me feeling very confident I was headed for a good experience. After 10hrs and a thousand miles to get there, my hunch was confirmed when I met Heath at the rental desk. Having boating experience I knew what I was looking for and he nailed every item I could think of before I could even ask. The Tahoe210 Red was in impeccable shape and performed admirably for every minute of the three hours we had it. The tube and life vest selection was beyond expectations. Our group was lucky enough to have not one, but two boat rides by Oak Hill Marina in one weekend. Although we spent the most time with Drew, as he was our boat captain for the second boat ride, we got to meet so many other staff members as well. We couldn’t say enough great things about Oak Hill Marina and its staff. From the sweet greetings at the front desk, to the staff helping us load the boat, other boat captains greeting and talking with us (Shawn and Will), the ones greeting us when we got back, and even the ones who helped us repack our car AFTER the boat ride (Morgan). ALL OF THEIR STAFF ARE SO ORGANIZED, KIND, PERSONABLE, GREAT COMMUNICATORS, AND ARE GREAT PEOPLE ALL AROUND. Oak Hill Marina is more than just a boat ride and business. They care about giving your group a great time, seeing what Okoboji is like, and feeling the great community all in one— and it’s all because of their staff members and management. We had an issue with our first boat ride and Drew reached out, then went above and beyond to fix our experience, and more. We are so grateful for Drew and his staff’s time and effort to give us a great time in Okoboji, including coming in on their day off.
