Big shout out to Rocky at NLBC for getting us hooked up with our first boat! Rocky was great to work with, he answered any questions we had during this process. We never felt pressured into anything. The guys at the boat center were great, Conner got us hooked up with some gear. We look forward to working with them again in the future.
Broke down on day two of a five day vacation on Norris Lake. I determined I needed a high pressure fuel pump for my 5.7L Volvo Penta. Called several places with no luck then spoke to a guy in parts at NORRIS LAKE BOAT CENTER and he located the part and we were back running the same evening! 5 Stars!
Great place to buy a boat or have yours repaired. First class owners. Pictures are out on the lake with the owner in one of his boats.
WARNING TO ALL **** do not use this companys service department. ******* BEWARE -----They had as simple engine install only to do on my pontoon boat. They damaged my motor installing it. (see pic) they would not own up to it. They told me my boat was ready and all gages were spot on. I took the boat out to the lake immediately after picking it up and the and found the following issues. 1. The controls were not properly installed and all bolts were loose. I had to stop in the middle of the lake to fix it. they also charged me for conneting the gas lines than told me I had to replace all gass lines? So why did I get charged for something I had to do???) 2. The RPM only showed that it woiuld go only 2800 rpms. So I called them from the lake and ask why I could only get 2800 RPMs. They told me to bring it back in. The mechanic said he ran it at 5000 rpm which was a LIE. (See number 3.) 3. I took it back to them and THEY ACCCUSED ME of removing an alarm from the wiring harnass under the dash that caused it to go into limp mode another LIE, for I called Mercury warranty service and that alarm can not cause the engine to go into limp mode. (Why would I remove somthing and bring it back to have them install it again??????) and they charged me $350 addtional for this. They said the TACH was off that the engine was running at the proper RPM. SO WHY DID THE TELL ME WHEN I PICKED UP THE BOAT THAT EVEYTHING WAS SPOT ON???? another LIE. 4. I was promised the engine had a 5 yr warranty 2 addtional years above the factory. I have called Mercury service center and they have not submitted for the addtional 2 years, I have call twice and still they have not submitted for it. 5. When I tried to talk to managment about these issues they would say they would lookin to it but would never return my calls. and ignored any of my calls.
