Buying a boat from Mr Outboards Watersports in De Pere, Wisconsin? Use this guide to evaluate any listing before you commit.
Match the boat to your waters
Pontoons and deck boats suit calm lakes. Deep-V hulls handle chop on larger lakes and coastal water. Center consoles are versatile for fishing. Ask Mr Outboards Watersports which models suit the waterways near De Pere, Wisconsin.
Inspect the hull carefully
Look for stress cracks, blistering, or repairs on fiberglass hulls. Check the transom for soft spots by pressing firmly — a solid transom feels rigid. Osmotic blistering costs thousands to repair.
Check engine hours
Inboard and outboard engines are typically rated to 1,500–3,000 hours. Low-hour engines with service records are worth more. Ask to see oil change and winterization records for any boat at Mr Outboards Watersports.
Request a sea trial
Test the boat on the water before buying. Run it at full throttle. Listen for unusual noises. Check that the throttle and steering respond smoothly. Reputable dealers like Mr Outboards Watersports will accommodate this request.
Verify title and registration
Ask for the current title and confirm the hull identification number (HIN) matches. Check for any liens with your state boating agency. Mr Outboards Watersports should be able to walk you through the paperwork.
Marine financing has unique terms. Here is what to know before financing a boat through Mr Outboards Watersports in De Pere, Wisconsin.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years for larger boats. Smaller boats are typically financed over 5 to 10 years.
Down Payment
10% to 20% is standard. Some lenders require more for older vessels.

Absolute great experience. Rebecca covered all the bases, made sure everything was exactly what I was looking for. Fantastic customer service and the price point was spot on. Although my purchase was not even close to the boats they sell, I was treated the same as if it was a 100k boat. This is my boat shop! Don't look anyplace until you look here first.
Great place! Worked with Rebecca on a new boat purchase. Communication and service was great! Also pricing was transparent and competitive! Strongly recommend working with the team at Mr. Outboards!
Great no pressure friendly used boat purchase. Rebecca was knowledgeable and gave us a complete walk thru of boat and answered all of our questions. We first saw the boat on Marketplace and requested more info. We were contacted by Rebecca and set up time to see it in person. We drove over 2 hours to make the purchase and was well worth it. Thank you Rebecca. Will be happy to send friends and family your way.
The staff at Mr Outboards Watersports Marine In DePere Wisconsin were all polite and helpful in facilitating our purchase of a new Hewescraft Ocean Pro 24. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a boat.
Rebecca Hubbell was absolutely incredible throughout my entire boat purchase. From start to finish, she was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure I found the right boat—not just making a sale. She answered every question, explained the process clearly, and made what could have been a stressful experience smooth and enjoyable. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and highly recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for an honest, professional, and dedicated expert. Thank you, Rebecca!
