Paid for a very inconclusive engine inspection. Went to a different shop and got a very different compression numbers for a fraction of the price. I also did not get told the price of the inspection, which was double the cost of what I had expected. I even mentioned the price I was expecting to pay prior and got ignored, which lead me to believe it was pretty standard and that’s why there was no need to discuss it. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I was out of state and having the seller of the boat I was looking at bring it to the shop for me. Terribly disappointed and added a ton of stress to my boat buying experience.
