I purchased a used boat from Louisiana Boat Dealer. Jarred was very professional and knowledgeable and responded to my many questions quickly. The dealership performed a compression test on the motor and I had the boat surveyed, including a water test. Both turned out positive and I bought the boat. I had them do a number of maintenance items to get the boat water ready. Additionally, they helped me find a reputable boat transport company. It was a pleasure doing business with them and I would highly recommend.

If you’re thinking about buying a vessel from this place , please read this before you commit. I purchased a 22ft Blazer bay boat 2nd week of June 2025 . When I was going through the process of making the decision, I was told many different things by the sales guy Tyler , how this boat was very well taken care of , he knew the owner personally and can vouch for how well the boat and trailer had been taken care off. The engine had low hrs which was another reason why I made the choice to purchase the vessel . When I went to give the vessel a check on things , every gadget was working properly and boat seemed ok , again reassured by this place that the boat , trailer was very well taken care of and serviced, also was reassured that la boat dealer had run there maintenance check of there own and everything was great. No problems. I made the choice of purchasing the boat at that point - the very next day - I noticed that the trailer lights where not working properly, I immediately contacted this place they told me to bring it back in we gonna fix it. So that was fixed but not entirely. Brakes lights worked but not the running lights. A few days later I finally had a chance to put the boat in the water , no power , boat dead , I immediately contacted la boat dealer , salesman , explained to him that the batteries were dead and I had to buy 2 new batteries , I was told pretty much oh well , The very next day I finally got the boat in the water , with the new batteries I just purchased , started right up , idle about 200ft engine ran hot , at that moment I decided to bring the boat to my own mechanic of my choice . This mechanic found sand in my water pump , needs changing . My wheel bearings on my trailer shot , they greased them up to hide the main issue . Costing me a little over 2800$ to get everything properly done. When I expressed my issue with the owner of la boat dealer Jared. I was pretty much told , oh well we didn’t make any money on this boat ,which how is that my problem didn’t really understand that comment , so nothing I can do for you. And also those repairs should not cost more than a 1000$ dollars. 1000$ would have just put a bandaid on this issue . At no point was this guy concerned about taking care of his customer. See pictures below of damage , I would definitely recommend if you are gonna purchase anything from these people to bring it to your own mechanic , go run the boat in the water.
After shopping at other locations, I went to LA Boat and found that they have a great combination of skilled sales pros and a high-quality inventory of boats. I replaced my previous boat with a Nautic Star 21 that looks like new. I would highly recommend La Boat to anyone boat shopping.
