I Had a great experience at Idaho Water Sports. I have a new Bennington pontoon boat, which I had to buy out of state because it was the end of the year and they did not have it in stock at Idaho Water Sports. Idaho Water Sports is the local Bennington Dealer. I needed some work done on my boat when I received it, such as adding a ski towbar and having it winterized. Usually, a boat or RV Dealership will prioritize the people who purchased directly from them over people who purchased somewhere else. However, that was not the case here. Bekah in the Service department got me in right away and was very pleasant to work with. Billy, the service manager was also very pleasant to work with. Both Becca and Billy were very helpful, friendly and professional. They obviously care about their customers. They got my boat in and out quickly and everything was done to perfection. If you’re looking for a new boat or you’re looking to have your boat serviced, I would highly recommend Idaho Water Sports.
Thanks to Will Nunnelee at Idaho Water Sports, I can say teaching an old dog new tricks is possible. For most of my sixty years I have dreamed of having a “ski boat” and spending as much time on a lake as possible. From the first days hanging out on muddy prairie lakes on buddy’s boats, to memorable times on crystal clear coastal lakes I was hooked. Unfortunately, a boat was not in my cards and I that was the way it was going to be. After a life altering health scare last year, I made a commitment to really pursue the things I wanted – YOLO. Being close to Lake Lowell I saw the potential to experience boating as I had always dreamed. Being older, however, the thought of having a boat was extremely intimidating and I was hesitant to begin my journey towards getting a boat. Luckily last February on a cold winter day I took the opportunity to stop at Idaho Water Sports and speak with Will. Will was fantastic! He spent most of the afternoon explaining the different boats and how they related to what I wanted to do. Not only did he answer all my questions he suggested I bring in my wife so she could educate herself on my new endeavor. A couple of days later Will spent another afternoon with my wife and I showing us boats and answering questions. Will was patient, supportive and best of all, applied no pressure to buy. It was a great experience for both my wife and I to learn together about the boats and get excited for the possibilities of having a boat. We ultimately settled on a used Malibu 23lsv, and Will was great in working out the details to store it until summer. Yesterday Will took us out in our Malibu and showed us the “ropes”. What a great morning on the lake. Will was patient and thorough in going over everything the Malibu could do for us. While the whole process of launching and docking was intimidating Will explained everything in such a way my wife and I could understand. Since purchasing the boat, we have had to make a move out of state. This has complicated things with our new boat but once again Will stepped up and has been great in facilitating the shipping of our Malibu to our new home. We are disappointed we will not be able to keep dealing with Will but will be forever grateful for his help in starting us out on our boating journey. I bought an electric bike here a few months ago. The Bike is great and in great condition. Staff is friendly, professional and reliable. If I plan on making any other big purchases in the future I will definitely go to these guys first. Great business, definitely recommended.
