We wanted to share the incredible experience we had with Hughes Marine recently. For months, we have been on the hunt for a Yamaha 255XD for our boat charter business. Living in Florida, you'd think we'd have an abundance of vessels to choose from, but our search led us to the hidden gem that is Hughes Marine. Their boat was kept in pristine condition, and they delivered it to our home in Florida, looking just as impeccable as it did on the showroom floor. The entire team at Hughes Marine went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule. They even stayed open late, knowing we were flying into NC and driving to their VA location. Despite the rainy and cold weather upon our arrival, Drew took his time to ensure we were comfortable with all the boat's features. He even monitored the radar to coordinate a test drive on the water, which meant extra work for their team to clean up afterward. This level of dedication truly impressed us. From the demo and purchase to the delivery, Drew's constant communication and immediate feedback have been refreshing. He got our extra accessories installed, found a qualified driver, and demonstrated that Hughes Marine goes above and beyond to help bring this boat to its new home. I bought my boat from your lot 4 years ago . It was there on consignment. It is 2007 sundeck hurricane. You guys brought the boat to smith mountain lake for me to test drive . You have been servicing it ever since . This summer the engine alarm was sounding at idle but ok a speed. You guys came out promptly to the dock and found the impeller destroyed and stuck to the housings to service fix it you removed the lower unit and took it back to the shop to fix . You returned it a couple of days later, all fixed . You guys have winterized my boat since I bought it . I trust and rely on guys to service my boat . I am totally satisfied with the service I receive from you guys.

My husband called to get a quote on just getting our 2001 outboard motor serviced for the season, and a couple other things (wires for light and gauges). He received a call back from Rick stating they didn't have the time and it was too old. When questioned about it being worked on last year Rick stated it was his bosses decision not his. BUT they had no issues taking it in last year to work on it when we did have an issue. Bunch of BS!! By reading the reviews it sounds like this "too old" is an ongoing excuse they give people.
