Paid for a new volvo to be installed in 4 weeks. They installed a reman in 4 MONTHS! Told my every 2 weeks, "almost done." The old manager, Rich, who sold me a new motor lied and cheated me. He was fired. The owner Shawn Cope did nothing to fix the issue. Do not trust this company with your money. The new manager, Joe, tried. He was at least honest that he couldn't help. He tried. He called the owner but told me," Sorry, your best bet is to call him yourself. " which i did. Shawn never called back. My email exchange is below. Reporting it here, BBB and with the AG. Hope this saves you from bad business.
Good service and fair prices on service work and parts. Filters and lube are cheaper than online prices. I have never had a bad experience at Cope in seven years. Ulrich over charged me and did service work that wasn't ask for or needed. I'll stick with Cope.
I stopped in at Cope Marine in Branson West, MO and was kindly greeted by Tim Nechrebecki. I was impressed with his knowledge on boats. He was very competitive with pricing and I would encourage anyone looking for a boat to consider him. He did not pressure me and was kind enough to uncover the Crownline so we could view the interior on a 100° day.
After looking and talking to Lind dealers all over the Midwest I decided to stop in over Memorial Day weekend. Mike was the salesmen or I should say guide to what I was after. He showed me a couple of boats after I looked at the one that is sitting G in my garage now. He wasn’t pushy or seemed irritated when I asked questions. Very sincere and knowledgeable. He was great to work with through the buying process and went above and beyond. It stormed the night after he took me out out on the lake to show me my electronics and how everything worked and he let me store it Saturday night in the empty bay. He then met me on a Sunday to hook me up for the trip home. I would recommend Mike and Cope Marine. Greg was also helpful to on service questions.
Wanted to say thanks to Lisa and the folks at Cope Marine. Had an engine sensor go bad and they went out of their way to get me in same day, trouble shoot, and repair my issue. Many thanks to all for getting me back on the water.
