Starting with Ashley, she was always so helpful and kind when my husband and I started our journey for our next boat, answering the hundreds of questions we had and never pressured us. Our experience was top notch, from finding the right boat for our family with Ashley, to the walk throughs and instruction we received from Tom, and wrapping up the sale process with Eric. I just can't say enough about the Smith family and their business. I really need to rave about Colorado Boat Center. We went in on a weekday browsing to compare a used boat we were looking at to new boats. Of course no intention to actually buy a boat but two weeks later, here we are. The Smith Family owns and operates this dealership and I believe they are so successful and have won so many awards because they DO care and they do treat you like their own family. The entire time I felt valued, appreciated and heard and feel that we got a very fair deal. I didn’t feel sold at all but I felt educated and empowered. On our closing day, they spent two hours with us, one on one to teach us, prepare us and keep us safe. We also LOVE that Barletta manufactured their boats with dogs in mind. Our poodle, Dutton definitely approves! Thank you guys for everything! As an update to this review, we are a few months into boat ownership and we expected a rough road, but ran into a few things and Ashley, Eric, the service guys, and everyone at CBC has been nothing short of amazing. They truly care about their customers and they provide world class customer service. This company and the people who run it are the exact reason why it’s important to shop locally and support family owned businesses. They treat their customers like family, even when their customers are a pain in their butt. Thank you all for being great!
In 2022 we bought a Barletta Lusso ultra entertainer 25 foot beautiful boat at the Denver boat show. It was the one on the floor at the show all the bells and whistles 400 hp motor. First Day out, Biminis blew off, if somebody would’ve been sitting on the lounger they would have been seriously hurt or worse one or two months later that became a recall item from Barletta, not long after that the depth finder quit working, found out later the plug came off, the nice dining table that makes it the entertainer has some beautiful, beautiful chrome welds that came apart Now they want to fix it with L brackets. Also, on the first Day out the paint started peeling on all the floor rails.We wanted to trade it last summer, but the owners at Colorado boat center asked me to wait until this year‘s boat show they would not be able to pay me what that boat was worth at that time in the season but if I waited, I they would definitely take care of me. NOT SO MUCH!! Went to visit them today at this year‘s boat show they offered $60,000 less than I paid for it , not a very happy man today there’s less than 30 hours on this brand new boat that is supposed to be heads and shoulders above the rest when it comes to build quality. On top of that, I can’t even trade today because of all the warranty work that still isn’t done and it was reported when we got back from Lake Havasu last March. Sold me a $2000 cover for travel, and it came apart on the way to Havasu our first voyage BUYER BEWARE!! Response to reply Expedite?? These parts were ordered last March. Supposedly, I wanted to trade this last July!! I have attached below in the photos our text stream take a look and you tell me how you interpret that. You could have said we can’t take it now but maybe someone else can, however who’s going to take a trade when there was so much warranty work to be done? Oh, and by the way, the warranty work still isn’t done. So even if I wanted to make a deal in July or with someone else at the boat show this weekend, I don’t have a boat to trade that’s in good condition. I did want to do business with a local family owned business. I believe in that! I’ll take my lumps for the choices I’ve made. What about you? You can’t tell me being in this business for “33 years” (I would be surprised if the son and daughter running that business today were 33 years old)That you didn’t have your finger on the pulse of manufacturing, and that Barletta would catch up just like everyone else has in the toy world. I waited, because I trusted you, and wanted to continue a relationship with a family owned local business even with all the warranty issues. THAT TRUST IS LONG GONE!! I was in business for a long time. When we made a mistake in our business we made it right, and once or twice that included buying somebody’s car to show that we were for real, and their satisfaction was more important than a profit. Again what about you? One more thing, to be clear I am not disputing current book value. My issue is the reason I couldn’t trade it/sell it in July was because of you folks! Warranty work not done and still not done as well as your request for me to wait until this year‘s boat show. 2/2/23 Well, I reached out to Eric as suggested in their response the same day they posted it and have not heard a peep. 3/3/23 Update for you brave enough to visit this place, never did hear from Eric! The warranty work is finally done a year later can’t say enough good stuff about Scott and the guys in the back but you can’t trust ownership as far as you can throw them. They called me all the way out there for a meeting today only to tell me they weren’t going to help me, that could’ve been done by email text or phone but I guess they didn’t want that in print because they’ve been exposed by me in the past that way. The two stars on yelp! One STAR on indeed, from EMPLOYEE’S I guess I’m not the only one don’t know how they got four on Google You can check my record I don’t post stuff like this, this, but if I can save somebody this headache, that’s what I’m going to do.
CBC made our first time boat-purchasing experience so easy. They are excellent at staying in communication, easy to reach, and very knowledgeable. Their pro shop is fully stocked with amazing items. We recently bought a new Chaparral boat from the folks at Colorado Boat Center and had a great experience. Ashley was quick to respond to our inquiry on the boat we wanted, and within a little over a week, we were up at their dealership signing papers and taking delivery. It was a straightforward, well-orchestrated process. We did have a mechanical issue with the boat during our first lake day, which was a bummer, but they worked with us on sorting out the issue and got us back on the water quickly. I will add, they went above and beyond to correct the problem, communicated with us throughout, and made sure we were happy with the results. That's the sign of a great dealership. We'll be back when we're ready to upsize!
