I’ve bought a used Jet Ski from them, and just recently picked up a brand-new Starcraft Pontoon. The sales process was super simple, and the staff is phenomenal — from the knowledgeable sales team, to the friendly front desk crew, to the reliable and experienced techs. I’m always impressed with how thorough the entire team is. Every detail is laid out clearly — no surprises, no shady business — just a great family and an even better crew. They had my pontoon prepped and ready on schedule yesterday, just in time for the season. They even took me out on the water for about an hour and walked me through every feature — including some I hadn’t even noticed, which was a nice bonus! Here’s my breakdown of Buds: Pros: • Extremely detail-oriented • Phenomenal atmosphere and genuinely friendly staff • Knowledgeable salespeople, techs, and support team • Great pricing • They invest a lot back into the lake and the local community • You’re not just another number — from the sale to the moment you’re out on the water, they’re there for you. Even if you make a silly mistake, they’ve got your back. Case in point: one time I accidentally poured a few gallons of fuel into the tool compartment on my Jet Ski — it had a cap that looked like the fuel cap, and it had been a long day. I called them, and Kevin, along with another team member, got everything dried out and had me back on the water in no time. • I’ve also worked with Chelsea and the team that handles canvas work — they’ve made custom covers for my Jet Skis, modified my pontoon cover, and are now installing seat covers. Their canvas work is top-tier. Cons: • None.
I purchased a Barreta Tritoon and my wife and I love it! All of our friends love going out in the harbor and on Lake Erie for evening cruises. Our dogs and grandkids love taking the boat to the beach for a swim. We have gone to Put In Bay, Kelly’s, Middle Bass, and Sandusky for lunch and dinner on the boat. Great times. I notice more and more tritoons in our marina. They are getting very popular on Lake Erie. Forgot to mention how great the folks are at Buds Marine. My wife and I drove down from Marblehead and met all the good folks at Buds. There were all kind and respectful. If we had questions they answered them and accommodated our request. We didn’t have to negotiate price because it was better than anywhere else . I recommend dealing with Buds.

The marina is clean, well-maintained and has a beautiful showroom full of the necessary accessories. What really stands out is the friendly atmosphere.
