I have been in this store now twice. Once for skis and another time for boots. Both shopping experiences were great. Almost immediately greeted and welcomed each time upon entering the store. But ecspecially awesome was the boot buying experience. My fitter was very knowledgeable with decades of ski experience and not only helped ensure I got a boot that fit but helped me understand why it fit so well. She did an amazing job in putting me in a boot thats not only is great for my current skill level but will be able to still perform as I progress in ability. Best of all they guarantee a good fit. Even offering free adjustments with your purchase. Overall they have definitely earned a lifetime customer.
My daughter is an athletic girl and wants to get more into skiing with her middle school ski club. A couple of her friends recently got fitted for new skis at buckeye sports center. I didn’t want to spend too much this Christmas and don’t want her to have equipment that doesn’t fit her. Marylyn was the best. We learned a lot and feel confident that we have good equipment. Did not buy my 2021, Lund Tyee from Buckeye Sports Center in Peninsula. However, been taking my Tyee here for service and add-ons/upgrades-since purchase in 2021 do the math…this is an authentic service department review which, is outstanding. From DeWayne, Erin to the “Warranty Whisperer” ALYSSA and the crew in the shop, Dan, all are outstanding and strived to insure my boat is in top shape to fish Lake Erie from early spring to late-fall-winter. Alyssa was a powerful advocate on my behalf when dealing with warranty issues. I was always confident knowing she was fighting for me to get everything warranty related addressed. She also assisted in some upgrade decisions I made to my boat to make it safer for Lake Erie. The service department also went the extra mile to take my boat on a test run to insure it was running properly alleviating concern related to safety and being stranded out on Lake Erie. If you are in need of upgrades, warranty work, or service related issues know that this location will treat you like you DID purchase your boat there! If it’s a warranty issue ask for Alyssa.
We were helped by a man with more than 40 years of experience who was so full of knowledge he was able to outfit my partner with everything based off a look and a brief conversation. Outside of no pink skis, they had everything you could want and more. I highly recommend the Buckeye Sports Center for all your winter weather sports needs.
