So, I'm going to start this with why we had to have service on our boat. We have a 2014 boat with and outboard motor. There are very few repair shops that work on outboard motors. We happen to store our boat at Bill's and have for the past 9 years without having any problems. So we decided to have a major repair done here, as my hubs managed to break the shifter shaft(which requires complete disassembly of the motor). That being said we figured we were in for a long wait on this. Now, if it hadn't been for the friendly staff we wouldn't have thought to check to see if insurance would cover our repair....so thankful for that because insurance covered it($4500 bill). Well, we showed up to pick our boat up the next day, after we were told it was finished. We came back and pulled the boat out of storage, where they had put it back. The seats and all interior were completely covered in black mildew and dust and bird poop. Instead of either pulling off the motor and working on it in the shop, or putting the boat back in storage in between various stages of repair, they left it outside. So I promptly complained and management told us to leave it and they'd clean it. We went back today at noon, planning to get it out on the lake and mildew was still there...little cleaner but still there. Ok...I guess I'll clean it when we're done on the lake. We get the boat dropped in and nothing. Our 2 batteries on board are completely dead. Thanks guys!! Seriously couldn't be bothered to make sure we were completely ready to go. And before you ask, the batteries were purchased less than a year ago. So now, after waiting over 4 months for our boat to be ready , we're heading home to charge batteries and clean. Seriously disappointed!! Friendly staff and nice facility, however, there's a huge need for improvement in respecting other people's property guys. Hope the boat actually starts up after we charge batteries.
