My sales guy Johnathon was great but the head guy of this place is a complete joke!!! Bought a used boat from them less than three weeks ago. They told me that the boat had been serviced and went through before I drove seven hours to buy this boat from them. After taking it out for the fourth time in open water The lower unit blew up. Johnathon(sales rep) got back with me after a few days and said the owner would reach out to see what they could do. Well joke on me, owner reached out just to ask me to bring it back to Kentucky (note I live in South Carolina) to only cover the labor and have me pay for the lower unit and this is after I already had to take to to the local shop in town just for them to tell me that the lower unit must have been over looked because the casing was not damaged and there was hardly any lower unit gear oil in the unit. The fact they wanted me to drive 7 hours for them to only cover labor and not even offer to cover the labor at a local shop here blows my mind. I understand things happen but when a client is told the motor has been looked over and it’s not that’s on them. I feel like I was definitely took advantage of being a out of state customer. I definitely do not recommend them to anyone because not only did i pay 17k for this boat but I haven’t even made the first payment and I’m now in the whole another 2k after three weeks owning. Also owner says to me well atleast now you’ll have a warranty with the new lower unit you’re getting installed. Dude is a complete JOKE!!! So needless to say if you buy a boat from them I would get a full service done somewhere else because they definitely don’t care!!!
Just want to give a big thanks to Anglers Outpost and Marina to get me back on the water quickly last weekend was in a tournament on Kentucky Lake with the Kentucky Bass Nation threw an ear on my prop bent the prop shaft Jeremiah is the service advisor there did a great job on getting my warranty to Skeeter in no time. So basically i took it in this Monday and I got it back today. So If you're looking for a great full-service boat dealership a highly highly recommend Anglers Outpost their trustworthy and honest if they can work miracles to get you on the water they will but they will always work their hardest to get you back on the water as soon as possible they are a faith-based company and that's why they will always get my business.
I purchased a brand new 2021 Monterey back In 2020 and had a horrific accident not long after pulling it off the lot. The spare tire wasn’t secured and came off of the brand new trailer less than a mile from the dealer. It damaged the trailer and I was left with no spare. I contacted anglers outpost shortly after and they assured me they would at least get me a new spare tire. Never happened. They were just happy I didn’t sue. These people do not make on promises. Do not order a new boat from them. Don’t trust they will take care of you. I don’t have time to worry about problems. Hopefully I save someone else the trouble and prevent the next person of having to think of problems.
