This review will be a bit longer so if you want the TLDR version - take your boat to Mike! He is the type of person you want taking care of you and your boat. I have a 20 year old boat that originally had originally been bottom painted and then refreshed about 12 years ago. She has only seen Jordan Lake so the bottom paint wound up being a waste. Until about 3 years ago there was never an issue even though it was wearing off but something in the lake changed and growth attached to the bottom quickly to the point where I could not get on plane after about 2 months in the water. A marina had recommended someone to repaint the bottom but that person could not handle the job. That was a blessing since that person did seek out Mike and connected us. Mike offered up options to deal with the old bottom paint. His assessment of the issues were detailed and instead of bottom painting again which would require updates every couple of years, he provided the option for a ceramic coating. Sanding and fixing the bottom wound up being sizable and rain did not help the timing. Mike did all he could to navigate the weather while showing outstanding patience and concern for doing the job right and not putting the coating on in conditions that would yield less than desired results. The results were fantastic! The difference was incredible. I don't think the boat had ever hit 40mph before even when new but there we were flying along just over 40mph and still had some throttle to give. Mike and his crew did an amazing job to get the old girl running well. The story doesn't stop there though. On the day I went to pick the boat up, one of my trailer tired shredded about 10 miles from Advanced Marine Solutions. I had 70 miles to go and didn't want to chance the second tire on that side blowing out. I called Mike he and offered up the help if I could get back to him. After limping back the 10 miles, Mike took HIS time to get the trailer and boat on jacks so I could take all the rims with me to get new tires on them. I returned Monday and Mike again adjusted his schedule to get the tires on. All I could think of was I had become that guy that the saying "oh let me drop everything so I can work on your problem" is about. But Mike was incredibly gracious to go well out of his way to help me on that Friday and Monday despite the impact to his time. It demonstrated to me that in addition to his great technical knowledge, he is the type of person that I want to do business with. Thank You Mike!
Mike has been doing maintenance on my skiff for a few years. He is upfront with potential issues and keeps me informed when the situation changes. They rewired my trolling motor setup, replaced a fuel pump, and did some routine maintenance over the past few years. I have been satisfied every time and would recommend them to anyone.
