A&S Boats began in 1957 in Livermore, CA by two dedicated boaters, Al and Shirley Passeri, when they decided to build their first boat. Two boats later, after coming to Connecticut, they saw the need for a store that sold superior boating products. Thus, A&S Boatique was formed in East Hartford in 1970. That premise has carried over with their son Mark, who in 1975 took over A&S Boatique. In 1977, Mark bought his own first boat, a new Baja 18SS. This started the tradition of carrying only the boats with the highest value in their respective classes. These boats included the very first line tha...

Happy New Year to the amazing team at A&S Boats! I've been a loyal customer for over 30 years, working with Mark and the entire crew, and it's always been an absolute pleasure. I've purchased four boats from them during that time, and I've been extremely happy with the competitive pricing and outstanding service every single time. Right now, I'm excitedly working with A&S on upgrading my Sun Tracker pontoon boat by repowering it with a larger motor. They're making the process seamless and expert as always. If you're looking for a dealership that truly cares about their customers and delivers top-notch boats and support, A&S Boats is the best in Connecticut. Highly recommend five stars without hesitation!
My wife and i purchased a new Highfield inflatable and trailer this past June and couldn't be happier. Mark and Carlos were great and answered all of our questions and helped us pick out the perfect boat for our needs. We honestly cant say enough great things about all of the staff at A&S Boats and this awesome highfield.
I bought a Chaparral boat from this store, and while the staff was polite during the sale, everything changed afterward. The boat was delivered with obvious defects. They repeatedly promised to fix everything, yet I had to bring the boat to their Norwalk location multiple times, and every single time it was returned with the same issues untouched. What was even more disappointing was my conversation with the owner. His attitude was shockingly rude and completely unprofessional. Instead of taking responsibility, he spoke to me as if the problems were somehow my fault. After dealing with empty promises, wasted time, and the owner’s unacceptable behavior, I decided to sell the boat and will never return to this business or to Chaparral as a brand. Be warned: the customer service ends the moment they get your money, and the owner’s rudeness is something no customer should have to deal with. I saw the owner’s response claiming this review is a “scam” and that they have no record of me. That statement is simply incorrect. The boat was purchased in 2022, and the issues I described happened exactly as written. Instead of acknowledging my experience or offering any apology, the owner chose to dismiss it entirely—which unfortunately reflects the same attitude I experienced in person. To be clear, this review is not fake, not a scam, and not written by another dealer. It is based on my direct experience as a customer. I stand by everything I wrote.
Mark went out of his way to correct poor rigging another dealer did. Most others would've said they wouldn't touch or it was a lost cause. I was about to give up and get a different boat. He is very involved with his business and has a passion. That is very hard to find these days. He fixed so many issues. Now I have a boat that functions well. I wouldn't hesitate to bring him a boat to tune or fix in the future. I would consider buying my next boat from him too. Thank you!
We recently bought a boat from A&S and we were beyond impressed with the professionalism and quality of work they do. They went over our boat and made sure everything was right before we had the keys in hand. As much as we hated to put the boat away almost as soon as we got it, we still got some fall skiing in! I’d highly recommend them for sales and or service. Thanks again Mark and the whole A&S staff for making our boat purchase a good one!!

Buying a boat from A & S Boats in South Windsor, Connecticut? Use this guide to evaluate any listing before you commit.
Match the boat to your waters
Pontoons and deck boats suit calm lakes. Deep-V hulls handle chop on larger lakes and coastal water. Center consoles are versatile for fishing. Ask A & S Boats which models suit the waterways near South Windsor, Connecticut.
Inspect the hull carefully
Look for stress cracks, blistering, or repairs on fiberglass hulls. Check the transom for soft spots by pressing firmly — a solid transom feels rigid. Osmotic blistering costs thousands to repair.
Check engine hours
Inboard and outboard engines are typically rated to 1,500–3,000 hours. Low-hour engines with service records are worth more. Ask to see oil change and winterization records for any boat at A & S Boats.
Request a sea trial
Test the boat on the water before buying. Run it at full throttle. Listen for unusual noises. Check that the throttle and steering respond smoothly. Reputable dealers like A & S Boats will accommodate this request.
Verify title and registration
Ask for the current title and confirm the hull identification number (HIN) matches. Check for any liens with your state boating agency. A & S Boats should be able to walk you through the paperwork.
Marine financing has unique terms. Here is what to know before financing a boat through A & S Boats in South Windsor, Connecticut.
Typical Loan Terms
10 to 20 years for larger boats. Smaller boats are typically financed over 5 to 10 years.

10% to 20% is standard. Some lenders require more for older vessels.
