Prices are each builder's published starting MSRP in US dollars, read from their US websites on 19 October 2026. Bennington says its prices are based on model-year 2027 MSRP and do not include the destination fee. Barletta's series pages show a starting MSRP without saying what it excludes or which model year it applies to. Ask any dealer for a written out-the-door price that includes freight, prep, the engine you want, taxes and fees.

How this comparison was made

Each builder's series were grouped by published starting MSRP, so shoppers can compare the boats they could buy for the same budget. Every price, specification and warranty term was read from Bennington's and Barletta's own websites on 19 October 2026, then re-read by a separate check. Nothing here comes from test drives or sea trials, and neither brand is called better overall.

The two builders publish different details. Bennington's lineup page gives a length range, capacity and maximum horsepower for every line. Barletta's series pages give a starting price and floorplans, and its model pages give specifications one model at a time. Where one builder does not publish a figure, it is left out rather than estimated.

How do the Bennington and Barletta lineups match up?

Bennington sorts its pontoons into five series with ten lines, and Barletta sells seven series. Bennington's S, L, M, R and Q series cover 16 to 30 feet. Barletta's series, from its lowest starting price to its highest, are Sanza, Aria, Cabrio, Lusso, Halcyon, Reserve Leggera and Reserve.

  • Newest Barletta series: Barletta calls the Sanza "the newest addition to the Barletta Lineup" and "our most accessible series."
  • Renamed Barletta series: Barletta says "Corsa is becoming Halcyon," so a used Corsa is the older name for the series now sold as Halcyon.
  • Bennington bowriders: Bennington sells bowrider lines in two series, the L Bowrider and the R Bowrider.
  • Company age: Barletta says it was established in 2017.

Entry pontoons: Bennington S-One and S vs Barletta Sanza

At the entry level, the two brands start within $1,800 of each other. The Bennington S-One starts at $34,326 MSRP, runs from 16 to 22 feet and is rated for up to 150 hp. The Bennington S Line starts at $36,073 MSRP, runs from 16 to 25 feet, carries 6 to 15 people across the line and is rated for up to 400 hp. Bennington's S Line page also lists 16-foot Standard models from $34,795 MSRP and Sport and Luxe trims from $53,980 MSRP.

The Barletta Sanza starts at $35,000 MSRP and comes in Quad Lounge, Ultra Lounge and L-Lounge floorplans. Barletta's Sanza L-Lounge page describes the S20L as a 20-foot boat with an 8' 6" beam, room for 11 passengers, a 34-gallon fuel tank, 25-inch tubes and a 150 hp maximum rating. The S Line suits buyers who want more lengths and more power, up to 25 feet and 400 hp. The Sanza suits a buyer who wants Barletta's warranty and layouts at an entry price.

Mid-range pontoons: Bennington M Line vs Barletta Aria and Cabrio

Between $40,000 and $100,000, Barletta has two series and Bennington has two lines. The Barletta Aria starts at $53,100 MSRP and offers Ultra Lounge, Quad Lounge, Cast N' Cruise, 4-Point Fish and L-Lounge floorplans. The Barletta Cabrio starts at $65,600 MSRP. Barletta's Cabrio Ultra Lounge page lists models from the 20-foot C20UC to the C24UC, and the C20UC has an 8' 6" beam, room for 11 passengers, a 50-gallon fuel tank and a 200 hp maximum rating. Barletta's list of 2027 changes says 300 hp is "available on 24' models" of the Cabrio.

The Bennington M Line starts at $71,140 MSRP, carries 10 to 15 people and is rated for up to 500 hp. Bennington's LX Sport Line starts at $91,217 MSRP, runs from 22 to 26 feet and is also rated for up to 500 hp. For a buyer under $70,000, Barletta's Aria and Cabrio start below Bennington's M Line, while Bennington's S Line trims cover part of the same range.

Upper and luxury pontoons: L, R and Q vs Lusso, Halcyon and Reserve

Above $100,000, Bennington has six lines below $200,000, and Barletta has two series in that band and two above it. Bennington's L Bowrider starts at $113,714 MSRP. Its R Line and Q Line each start at $148,304 MSRP and run from 23 to 30 feet, with beams of 8.5 or 10 feet and ratings of up to 1,000 hp. The R Bowrider starts at $156,756, the RX Sport at $170,133 and the QX Line at $188,136 MSRP.

Barletta's Lusso starts at $124,200 MSRP, and Barletta says it "is where the Barletta story began." The Halcyon, formerly the Corsa, starts at $130,000. Barletta's top two series are the Reserve Leggera at $286,000 and the Reserve at $345,000 starting MSRP. Bennington's lineup page lists no line above the QX at $188,136.

Tritoons and engines: what each builder publishes

Bennington describes tritoon options line by line, while the Barletta pages read for this article give tube size but not a three-tube option by series. Bennington says its S Line offers "the widest selection of pontoon and tritoon boat floorplans." Its lineup page says the LX Sport is "offered in pontoon and tritoon configurations" and the L Bowrider is "built on a tritoon platform," and it describes the Q series as "premium tritoon models." For how a third tube changes ride, price and power, see pontoon vs tritoon.

Barletta's model pages list 25-inch tubes on the Sanza S20L and the Cabrio C20UC, and 26-inch tubes on the Lusso L25MAT. Barletta says the Lusso Twin Engine is "the industry's first ever center-mounted twin engine pontoon boat." The 25-foot L25MAT on that page is rated for up to 500 hp and has a 125-gallon fuel tank. If you want three tubes on a Barletta, ask the dealer which models offer them before comparing prices.

Warranty: Bennington vs Barletta

Both builders combine lifetime structural coverage with ten years of wider coverage, but the published terms differ. Bennington's warranty page gives a "Limited Lifetime Warranty on the structure, pontoons, gates, motor mount and railings" and on the "7-ply, pressure-treated, marine-grade decking." It says that for the original owner of a new Bennington, "the first ten years are covered directly by Bennington," including "flooring, electronics, and upholstery," and that its warranties "are transferable through your local Bennington dealer."

Barletta's warranty page lists a Lifetime Structural Warranty covering the "Metal chassis," the "Reinforced metal framework above deck," the "Marine grade plywood deck" and "All railings, gates, channels, and frames." Its 10 Year Bow to Stern Warranty covers "Flooring," "Helm," "Furniture" and "Electronics." Barletta's page does not name the pontoons or say whether the warranty transfers, so ask a Barletta dealer for the full warranty statement. Engines are covered by the engine maker's own warranty, as Bennington's page notes.

Which one should you buy?

Choose by budget first, then compare the matching series side by side at a dealer.

  • Under $40,000: the Bennington S-One ($34,326), Barletta Sanza ($35,000) and Bennington S Line ($36,073) start within $1,800 of each other.
  • Most power at the entry level: Bennington rates the S Line for up to 400 hp, against 150 hp for the S-One and the Sanza S20L.
  • A mid-range boat under $70,000: Barletta's Aria and Cabrio start below Bennington's M Line.
  • A tritoon or bowrider between $100,000 and $200,000: Bennington has six lines in that band, including two bowriders.
  • Above $200,000: only Barletta, with the Reserve Leggera and Reserve, lists series in that band.
  • A transferable warranty: Bennington says its warranties transfer through a dealer; Barletta's page does not say.
  • Buying used: check the boat's model year and series name, remember that Barletta's Halcyon was the Corsa, and use the used boat inspection checklist.

Frequently asked questions

Is Barletta cheaper than Bennington?

Barletta is not cheaper across the board; it depends on the series. Bennington's S-One starts at $34,326 MSRP, below Barletta's $35,000 Sanza. Between $40,000 and $70,000, Barletta's Aria ($53,100) and Cabrio ($65,600) start below Bennington's M Line ($71,140). At the top, Barletta's Reserve starts at $345,000, well above Bennington's QX Line at $188,136.

Which has the better warranty, Bennington or Barletta?

Bennington and Barletta both offer lifetime structural coverage and ten years of wider coverage, and Bennington's published terms name more items. Bennington's limited lifetime warranty names the pontoons and decking, its ten-year coverage includes upholstery, and it says its warranties transfer through a dealer. Barletta's page covers the chassis, deck, rails and gates for life and flooring, helm, furniture and electronics for ten years, without stating transfer terms.

What happened to the Barletta Corsa?

The Barletta Corsa has been renamed Halcyon. Barletta's website says "Corsa is becoming Halcyon," and its Halcyon page calls the series "Formerly known as Corsa." The Halcyon starts at $130,000 MSRP. A used boat listed as a Corsa belongs to the series now sold as the Halcyon, so compare it with the specifications for its own model year.
