I walked in knowing what I was going to buy. There wasn’t any on the lot. The manager looked and found one that just came in. The salesman took me to the truck. I told him that I wanted it. The salesman and manager both went out of their way to make sure it was ready and I was able to drive it home that day.

I’m writing to share serious concerns about my VIP appointment at Cable Dahmer Buick GMC of Kansas City on January 28 at 3:15 PM. The experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and ultimately a complete waste of my time. I had a confirmed appointment with Cliff Fitzpatrick, and it appears there may have been an internal miscommunication regarding the updated appointment time. Cliff later reached out, was very kind and apologetic, and handled the situation professionally. I do not place fault on him. The issue during my visit was Marshall. From the moment he stepped in, Marshall focused entirely on my boyfriend even though I am the buyer. I had to speak up and insert myself just to receive acknowledged. As a woman, this was extremely frustrating and felt disrespectful. He attempted to explain this behavior by stating that “in his culture, men talk to men,” which only reinforced the lack of respect I was already experiencing. The interaction continued in an unprofessional direction, with excessive and unnecessary conversation about race, neighborhoods, black history, joking, and profanity—none of which were relevant to purchasing a vehicle. I did not feel taken seriously, respected, or valued as a customer. One comment in particular crossed a line. Marshall said, “I know I’m not Akon black, but I’m black.” While he may not have intended harm, that phrase has historically been used to mock darker skin tones. Members of my family, including my brother, share that complexion. Referencing skin color in this way—especially in a sales setting—was tasteless and offensive. Additionally, after I had already spoken up earlier to clarify that I was the buyer, Marshall later joked about forgetting that I was “the jefe.” This comment was clearly poking fun at the fact that I had to assert myself in the first place. It was frustrating and inappropriate that I even had to “insert myself,” let alone be joked about for doing so. On top of everything else, I was told the vehicle I wanted was at a nearby dealership, only for us to drive there and find out it was actually in Independence. We then waited another 15 minutes while Marshall continued unrelated commentary. Overall, my time was completely wasted, and I left feeling there was a clear lack of respect toward me as a woman. Marshall came across as someone who does not respect women, and that is deeply concerning. I will be sharing my experience with close friends and family so they can make informed decisions about where they choose to do business. This was not the experience I expected from a scheduled VIP appointment. I expect this concern to be taken seriously and addressed

Had a GREAT experience with Dre. He made the process super easy and explained everything in full detail. He took his time to explain all my options, break everything down in a thorough way, and did everything he could to get me my best deal. He will definitely work with you and be able to find you something. I highly recommend!

My advice to all taxpaying citizens is to boycott this dealership due to its cooperation with unlawful investigations and arrests initiated by the federal government all across Kansas and Missouri. Cable Dahmer Buick GMC is providing vehicles to HSI and ICE "agents" that refuse to identify themselves or produce warrants. Earlier this year, "agents" were caught on video arriving at a KC restaurant, claiming they were issuing a "criminal search warrant" for "labor trafficking and exploitation." They did not produce any warrant or documentation. The "agents" threatened to arrest legal citizens uninvolved in the investigation for questioning them. The unlawful investigation was only stopped because of the multiple patrons at the restaurant questioning the presence and intentions of the "agents", and the "agents" having no valid (or legal) answers. One of these "agents" wore a backward hat with a cannabis company's logo on it, a t-shirt, sunglasses, and an open backpack full of plastic bags and zipties. The "agents" had multiple firearms. There is video evidence of all of this, including the vehicles. I included a few screenshots, but the video isn't hard to find. 5 more arrests by "agents" were made in Lenexa this week, and it's being investigated whether this dealership (or other KC area dealerships) are involved. These "agents" also refused to identify themselves and mocked the citizens recording video evidence. They had their arrestees in chains around their ankles, waists, and wrists. I don't know about the rest of you, but I certainly don't want unidentified federal "agents" conducting unlawful searches, warrants, detentions, arrests, nothing. Refuse to give money to businesses in our cities that allow this kind of violence and economic harm in our communities. Refuse to give money to a business that puts itself before the citizens that give them patronage. Companies don't listen when the customers say "we don't want unidentified government agents taking our citizens off of the streets unlawfully." So speak a language they can understand. Money.

The service representative, Kracinda, was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. She took the time to check my system for needs, advise the code readings and explain my options. She was attentive to my questions and scheduled me another appointment that was needed. Very pleased with the service I received.
