MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE with Brinkley Sales was top notch! I drove from Michigan with a trailer after talking to Mr. James (B). I could tell by how he spoke of the tattered Hyundai that he was honest. We took it for a spin, and he warned he how fast it was-lol. He and his brother Mr. Tyler made me feel like family as I waited for processing. Not totally knowing how to secure the auto transporter, he called a guy from the shop to help. Without them, I don't think it would've made it home safely. Special thanks to Stephanie for handling all the important stuff! I'm very happy w/ my six-speed VELOSTER! VELO(velocity)STER(roadster) My two cents is... I found a red 2000 Jaguar XJR being sold by Brinkley Auto Sales advertised on Facebook Marketplace by Stephanie Brinkley, contacted her, and was directed to call her husband (James Brinkley). Over the course of a couple of days, Mr. Brinkley and I agreed by phone for him to drop the car off over the weekend at a reputable independent import car specialist (to whom I was referred by Jaguar of Indianapolis) for a pre-purchase inspection Monday morning as I would be flying in from out of town to purchase the car. I checked in with the shop owner Monday afternoon and was told the car never made it. I tried to contact Mr. Brinkley for three days and -- with no warning -- I went completely ignored. If Mr. Brinkley lacks the professional integrity to follow through on his word to his customers (or at the very least to be forthright about informing them of his decision not to do so), then I can only assume the vehicles he sells lack mechanical integrity as well. This was a shameful waste of my time and money.
Good deals, friendly owners. All of their cars are sourced from Carmax so they all have high miles, but they are priced well below blue book on everything we looked at. They were willing to let me take the car to my mechanic for inspection before buying. They aren't trying to get rich selling cars here. I am very pleased with the Acura MDX I bought there. We got a terrific deal.
