Shopping for a vehicle at Bob Howard Buick Gmc in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma? Follow these steps to buy with confidence.
Pull the vehicle history report
Run a CARFAX or AutoCheck report using the VIN before you visit. Look for accident history, odometer rollbacks, and title brands like salvage or flood. Ask Bob Howard Buick Gmc if a report is available for any listing.
Take a thorough test drive
Drive on both city streets and the highway. Accelerate hard. Brake firmly. Listen for any clunks, vibrations, or warning lights. Test the AC, heat, and all electronics during the drive.
Inspect for hidden wear
Check for uneven panel gaps, mismatched paint, or overspray — signs of past bodywork. Push on each corner of the car to test the shocks. Look underneath for frame damage, fluid leaks, or rust.
Get a pre-purchase inspection
Have a trusted mechanic inspect any used vehicle before you buy. A $100–$150 PPI can uncover issues that save you thousands. Ask Bob Howard Buick Gmc if a third-party inspection is permitted.
Negotiate the out-the-door price
Focus on the total out-the-door price, not the monthly payment. Understand every fee on the sales contract before signing. Dealer add-ons like paint protection and VIN etching are negotiable at Bob Howard Buick Gmc.

The entire staff was incredible. Grant, Mason, Ricky, and Blake went above and beyond to make my experience amazing. I have never had a car purchase go as smooth as this one. We will definitely be buying from Bob Howard again.
Easy to set appointment, took a while to get churches in because they were busy, great communicating about issue and completion of vehicle, pickup was long due to keys not being placed in correct spot. The person who found keys and brought care was polite and courteous. The only reason for 4 stars is the service department tech didn't seem to treat the customers as well as the driver.
When we queried about a particular vehicle on line, we received a call from Don Richart that the car we wanted was in fact enroute to your Bob Howard GMC. When it arrived he sent us pics of the car and me immediately decided to drive to Edmond from Tyler, Tx to make the deal. We were very pleased with how we felt welcomed, and the kindness that followed throughout our visit. Don Richart was very helpful and patient with our questions and made our decision to buy from Bob Howard GMC the best one yet. Don was very instrumental in making this deal happen and we are very appreciative of all his help. Thank you all at Bob Howard GMC.
The salesman was great (probably because he was relatively new Michael) he was friendly, pretty honest (for a salesman) and likeable (which is a salesman make or break. It was Michael who ran out to us in the freezing temps as the rest sat and watched. It was Mike that we sent back and forth with what we "would" and "wouldn't " agree for a trade in value with the finance manager...the man...the green wizard behind it all. We were pretty clear that we didnt want the bells and whistles that come with the upsells...the extra coverages, the extra- EXTRAS...this wasn't our 1st rodeo and it surely won't be the last. We asked certain items not be included because of the cost only to be told they "must" be included. Like a security package, when we already have one and never recieved any info on it after. After meeting the finance manager...Dustin....I can only say that Bob Howard Buick up and ups need to really sit down and talk to their customer base and do a ROLL PLAY SESSION. I bet Mr. Dustin wouldn't be able to handle 2 min of me on the other side of the table before he calls it and walks out with no signed deal, no sold car, no Bahama cruise, no college savings for his kids. Rude.....arrogant......is conservative. Its apparent you know your job very well, but you have lost touch with the people you are working with. Money has no feeling, but people do and your customer service and name calling about your employees inadequacies is the icing on the cake. I love my new car, I just wish I could have said the same about the rest.
I had a very disappointing experience with this dealership. I spoke with a representative, Andy (apparently the sales manager), beforehand who confirmed that two specific trucks were available for me to view. Based on that information, I made the trip to the dealership and rearranged my schedule. When I arrived, I was told that neither truck was actually available, and conveniently Andy wasn't either... This was a complete waste of my time and extremely frustrating. Accurate communication about vehicle availability should be the bare minimum, especially when a customer is making a special trip. If you’re planning to visit, I’d strongly recommend confirming availability very carefully before making the drive.
