*Real rating: 3.5 but would round up because I can't do half stars* The guys at Best Buy Auto are good people. It was my wife and I's first time buying a used car from a dealership. We were recommended a very good deal on a new car with very low mileage. It was such a quick turnaround given our limited time in the area, and the guys did pretty alright given the tight window. There were more than a few instances of poor communication or a lack of. The timeframe by which some of the to-do items were oversold by the salesman and under delivered. I did have to call myself to check on the status of the car when the shop did offer to update me. I also had to stay longer on my trip due to parts not being available, etc. Not necessarily the shop's fault. The body work which had to be done on the vehicle was done well, although there were several parts of the car which were missed, meaning I have dents in parts of it, a broken grill, ripped upholstery on the ceiling of the cabin, etc. To be fair to the shop, they did offer to replace them if I was back in the area, but frankly I didn't see the point of it living out of state. Overall I would recommend purchasing a vehicle from best buy auto if you have experience purchasing a used car from a dealership and are comfortable with the process of buying it and keeping the shop honest with time-frames. They do have a good model of getting deals on cars and you can find a nugget of gold if you look.
I bought a used Ford E350 from Best Buy Auto with 50k miles on it 4-5 years ago. They were extremely communicative through the entire process. Allowed me to take the vehicle off site to get a proper inspection at a local mechanic and worked with me on price after the inspection turned up a couple of necessary repairs. I have now converted my E350 and have driven it halfway across the US multiple times. It is a work horse and I couldn't be happier with my decision to work with Best Buy Auto. In a society that runs on consensus and review bias, I felt it was better late than never to write this review.
